Im hoping so. I had already planned on the next comp wit the guys from Socal but its scheduled for the 4th as well!!! Im hoping we can get things switched around so we can make both yours and theirs. Theirs on the 28th and then yours on the 4th. Bought some tennis balls to aplly ourselves to some gates and started runnig a timer as well as printed some score sheets, hopefully we wont be fumbling our way from the beginning of the day.

Well lots to get posted after this weeks parts arrived. First off are my new cut n shut red dot blocks from Ryan at EAST COAST RC. These things are top notch quality for a cut n shut. He used HB Rover white dot sidewalls and HB red dot Blocks. Im not going to give a review of these until I have thouroughly eveluated them. He also was able to send me the recommened foams and threw his own tread cut in as well. Might I add these things came fast as well!! I also ordered some VP V4 SLW's in 1" width from him as well, those also came faster than any other VP product I have EVER recieved!!! I think getting items drop shipped from the manufacturer in this industry is not practiced near enough......not sure the reasoning but should be more comon. Thanks Ryan for kickin but on delivery time. So here are some picks of the new wheels and some tire shots as well.

Thanks for the kind words! The tires and wheels look great on your rig...perfect color combo! Be sure and give an honest review of the tires when you get some good time on them. The foams WILL break in and begin performing much, much better with some use...same with the tires! Thanks again! Ryan |

Well I knew it wouldnt be long before I had enough extra parts to start assembling a bodied XR10 again...... So as we were outside on the course messing around, my wife said " I want one to drive" I told her go grab my Losi NC. She replied "that sucks compared to your other one!!(the XR10)" I quickly siezed the opportunity to start another build, and you already know the rest of the story. So sparing no expense ( as if it were the car that was driving her down the road and needed to be of sound quality) I began building again. This time I went ahead and ordered up some things with color The new parts would go on my car and the old onto her build. We plan to paint the new shell Hot pink and black, I of course will be driving it on occassion as well and figured I didnt want to scratch up her pretty little shell I grabbed up a J conceptstruck shell. So here is the next segment of the build rather builds i should say. Thanks Dave at RCP Crawlers and Steve at VP for the great service on both thier parts.

Took one from Mark Reel's thread and drilled both of my rear cases for two additional screws to provide more clamping strength on the housing between the spool gear and the upper link mount. I also took advantage of 4xFord's brass insert mod to get even more clamping force everywhere else possible. I know it was recently posted but here are a couple more pics of the mod as well as two VP loaded pairs of axles for my his and hers builds!!! Next up is some weights on the super cheap!!! Borrowed this from someone as well and took it a step farther. For the time being its a SS one piece collar from fastenall( hard to see but weighs 32.7g). Under 2$ a piece!!!! I just ordred a Black Oxide finished 2 piece split collar, it should be a little heavier as well. The SS was originally 5/8" ID but had to be drilled out to 3/4" so thats what size I ordered the split collar in. Ill post pics of it as soon as they arrive. I also bought a pair of one piece collars in a 1 1/2" ID size, these will be for the front knuckle weight. I started on them last night and should finish today. Lots of work getting them to clear the knuckles and steering components!! Should be worth it when finished!! I know I can grab a set for only 20$ but im in pretty deep and was hoping for them to weigh more than whats currently available.

Absolutely!!! If you have a VP front link mount it makes things easier because you can move the mount more towards the center of the axle making a little more room for this behemoth and giving a little more room for the tire as well. hen you can get a servo clamp set for around 5$ from CKRC,drill the holes out on the servo mounting tabs to fit the clamps, extra clamping strength will make a big difference in the long run Last edited by 001Hulk; 02-01-2012 at 10:33 PM. | |

Here is a pic of the new add on rings i made out of some 1 1/2" ID collars. By the time i had them fitted and rtr they turned out to be 3.7oz (just buy the Dlux add on rings and save the time) none the less they serve their purpose just fine. I also obtained my Blblack oxide collars today as well, they weigh double the amount as the SS version(SS was 5/8" ID drilled out to 3/4" and the)
