Hello, i followed the YTC Secet Agent treads for a while and can't resist. Ordered a SA and picked it up yesterday. I prepared the axle during the waiting time and start to put all together yesterday. The new links i made fit quit nice, but only in the front (same dimensions as Krawl wrote in his tread) fit perfectely. The rear one need some extra love, due to the fact that i use a front axle in the rear. I also put some special work on my Traxxas Big Bores to get them at 3.5". Now i would like to let you have a little look inside the dungeon of the doctor: Max. skid clerance: Ride height: Full drop: A double FXR burger with RX sauce and CC BEC made it on the Axle: After i put all togehter i had to do a little test run in the dungeon. Now i know what Jeremy means with "suck down", man this thing is a "Sucker" (Don't get me wrong here). I just run it as it was, without any fine tuning and i'm very impressed about it. Weight is with shaved Rovers, SLW V4's, 9 oz. knuckle weights and steel hardware 4 lbs. 15 oz. Some dietary sugar is on the way, so let see where i can put it. Ah forgot, here are the measurements of the rear links: Rear lower: 150mm Rear upper: 145mm With that lenghts it sits at 318mm (That's okay for Europe). As far as i can say now, the Agent is worth every penny and minute i'm waiting for it Hopefully there some sun at the weekend... ...to be continued Greetings Frank Last edited by Dr.Frank; 09-03-2012 at 08:25 AM. |

Wow. Considering you have 9oz of knuckle weights, your truck is light! Mine is 4lbs 4oz with blitz wheels I think i need to find some fat to trim.

Looks great! It looks like we have nearly identical components and mine is right around 5 lb 1 to 2.5 oz rtr with an 850 3s. I have about 80% alum fasteners but no weight savings with the FXR'S. Keep up the good work! |

During the waiting time for parts i give thought to a Wraith knuckle weight system: It's inspired by YTC and would allow various weight types and positions. ...to be continued Greetings Frank | |

| Re: Dr.Frank's XR Take II Secret Agent 3.5ed Thanks guys, we'll see how it performs. I put some stuff from Germany, Finnland and USofA together and did some wheelworks: ...and mounted: Not as light as YTC wheels, but with 6 braces/screws and 850 hubs not so bad The weight system is under fabrication Greetings Frank |

For a beadlock, that's a light setup. With those wheels on, and no knuckle weights, how heavy is your truck RTR? |

Looks good, Frank! What thickness of Carbon Fiber did you use for the Beadlock discs? I would like to try this as well. Do you have weight of the wheel without hub, tire and foam? Tomi |

I don't run light weight motors and only Axial LW gears in the rear... ...and only a few aluminum/Ti hardware. Quote:

After some testing, changing, addapting it's 95% ready to rumble Balance point without wheels: Balance point with wheels: The new knuckle weights are 15mm further outside (90g each): Cut and ground VP servo armour: 0.4mm Ti battery armour: Made some spacers to preload the rear springs a bit: Front end: Back end with Egressor Ti Wraith width axles: Rubber side down: Front width sits at 275mm (10.83") with 725'er SLW hubs: Back is at 265mm (10.43") with 600'er SLW hubs: ...and here is a poser shot: I'm satisfied so far and like the way it reacts with 2080g (4lbs. 9.4oz.). As you can see, i didn't walk the super light weight way, but at this weight it's the best compromise for my driving style. Greetings Frank |

Love what you did with the servo armor and will probably follow your way, not too light but adapted to the driver...
