Default More speed

I would like a little bit more speed out of my XR10 (seeing as my stock pinions have got half the teeth worn off) and was wondering whether a 15 tooth pinion gear would make a noticeable difference or should I look more towards a 16 or even 17 tooth one?
Would I lose any low speed control from doing this?
Just in case it makes any difference I am running tekin T45 HD motors on 3S lipo and stock 14 tooth pinions

Thanks for any help
