Default Double FXRs or Punk-dig RC?

Hi guys!
Started to build my first XR10.
What would be best - to put a double FXRs or FXR + Punk-dig?
Or all together?
I have Futaba 4PL.
Thanks for your advice.

Dual esc's is always better. But with a 3pl you will probably have to run a punk (or similar) and single esc. Or you could look into the wantAsummit mix for dual esc on 3ch

Dual esc hands down. For the price of a Punk (when you find one or he ships one) your spending double to find out dual is so much smoother and capable.

FXRs are great but if your not brand specific you could try Castle's sidewinder micro pros or Tekin's B1r's. Both are 3S capable and compact.

Price wise they both are around the same 50-60 $$ range each so your saving money you could put else where on the truck.

Thanks a lot.
I already have two FRXs and Punk Dig and, therefore, stand before a choice clearly the best option.
While I'm not very experienced and am glad to hear all views.

If you already have electronics may I suggest...Sell your punk, Easy $50 all day long. Sell your 3PL, prob $50-75 then pick up a 4PL...I guarantee you wont regret it...

I'm in the same boat, but parts have been decided on. 4PL and dual BRXL's. They can take 4S lipo if you ever want to volt up, unlike the others. You'll also notice looking around the forums that a lot of people seem to be having issues with FXR's.

I stumbled across the proportional thing sort of by accident, even after hearing that it's better than the Punk dig I have now. One of my motors got really weak so I switched it to the rear axle. Voila, poor man's instant proportional.. kind of. The crawler drove much better!

Summing up, I came to the conclusion that the best solution is to use double esc than single esc+PunkDigRC.
Thanks everybody.

In general, built, everything ok.
However, I could not find a way to switch to the reverse in FXR esc.
So just reversed the wires on the motors.

polarity should be switched on the rear. you also could have done it on the 4pl in the settings

if your used to the twinstick i would say keep with it. its all preference. i just got a 4pl a few weeks back and im really liking it.
and i think the 15 replies in this thread answered your last question.. dual esc is better in every way.
