Default Justin's Axial XR10...

I tried to get a AX10 shafty(The Shaftinator) build going earlier this year but just didn't like the shafty dig setup...drove me nuts. I have been drooling all over Crash's comp videos he makes, so this is the out come. Usually when I build trucks, I toss a lot of money at it but this time...I am going to take it slow and see how the stock parts hold up.

Chassis...

Electronics...

Wheels & Tires...

Current Upgrades...

  • .....

Pics of the pile of parts.

Some pics of the stock setup.

Did a bit of work on the front axle tonight. Got the idea from rbgerrish's XR10 build thread(>CLICK HERE<), shaved off part of the axle to allow more room to for the steering link and removed the stock style steering setup.

Plastic piece that gets cut off.

Used a cut off wheel and finished it off with sand paper.

All done.

While I had the axle open, I used some VP grease.

Got my VP knuckles and c-hubs in the mail today. Pretty spending but the machine work is killer. I would also like to add that the stock c-hubs seem pretty beefy, but bling always looks nice.

Got some VP 475 hubs in the mail too, track width is about 11.1. Might get some 350 hubs later.

Great design and finish.

Nice fit.

Design to allow you to mount with ease, nice!

Rear tire clearance.

Front clearance, no servo mounted yet but pretty sure my steering will not be as much as its shown below.

Thanks, I try to supply pic of stuff I haven't seen to many of. BTW, the VP motor plate has a cut out so you can remove stuff with ease, thanks for the tip though.

Haha...your the first person to noticed that I redid my build thread. I removed my "VIPER" build thread and took those pics and merged it into this one.

BTW, thanks!

Thanks sir!
I got a Canon t1i and love it. I also bought the macro lens with it too, been using it for a 2+ years. I setup a photo booth in my new shop I built, I will post a pic of the booth later.
Here are some pics I have taken with the camera.

BTW, if you need SDHC cards or etc...go to NEWEGG.com...SUPER cheap!!! They also sell extra batteries for only $20 or so, extra batteries come in really handy.
