Default Stock chassis to Chaotic chassis...shorter wheelbase...fixed

I just changed over to a chaotic chassis and links, and now...

Full ride height its at 11-5/8"

Normal ride height its at 12".

At full squat its at 12-1/4"

Is this right? I already know without driving it there's about 2-3 lines I wont be able to make, ill just be to short to reach the lip of a ledge. Am I doing something wrong? I am using revo ends...

Just back out the rod ends a couple of turns in the front and the back. That will get you to 12.5" in no time.

What is your gc? Do you possibly have any pics of your set up??? Our links are designed for a 12.5" wb. I'm guessing your suspension is not limited and your gc is so high it's bringing the axles close together.

Well get you taken care of.

Simple enough. I guess I was worried and thought I better thread them all the way. Simple things like this is why I appreciate you and everyone else on here! So easy in fact I feel dumb for even asking...

Even tho turning the rod ends out should work it shouldn't be necessary.

Ground clearance at normal(settled) ride height is 3-9/16" at the center. Give or take a hair from the front and back of chassis

But even at full squat, bottoming out the suspension, its only at 12-1/4"

ok if i remember here the stock shocks are a little long . the gc is way to tall. it should be like 3 in the front an 3 1/2 in the rear. this would make the wheel base rite . with the stock shocks you mite have to lay them down an little more . i think marc ran the stock shocks for a bit an he should be able to help here but i think thats what the prob is . the bodys on the stock shocks are to long an dont let it set down where it needs to be so you have to lay them in more to get it there

Moving the front uppers in one hole will give you some more caster too. You can also move the rear uppers in one hole and that should get you were need as well.

Yeah I suppose. But I was hoping to move links to tune the suspension, not just to get a wheelbase issue fixed. I started on the outside holes to help clock the axles and give more clearance to the motors. Also, I haven't driven this yet, links and everything except the front shocks were placed at neutral center holes.

Ill work on it more when I leave work...
