![]() Links are fine, front lowers bind a little. Like krawfreak said I need to bend them some more or add a few shims. | |

| ![]() If you are using Revos in the front of the lowers, they don't fit properly in the axle housing, and bind. You either need to clearance the housing a little, shave the tip of the Revo, or run the stock XR bent rod end.

With shaved front lower rod ends like krawlfreak's pic and slightly twisting your links inward there will be no binding.

Ready for tomorrows comp. I've put about 3 packs through it, tuned on the shocks some, and played around with some weight and rear link locations. I removed some hardware from the wheels and current RTR weight is 4lbs 13oz I need to try and get the weight down some more but I really dont see how I have an extra 1lb over other secret agent rigs. I know the 7980 is temporary until I get a 7950. That will shave a few ounces. Aluminum screws will help as well. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

The wheels are a large part of the weight... What does your wheel ,tire, foam combo weight? Also the really light guys are running 2 or less oz per knuckle weight or none at all. |

Micro deans, lose the heat sinks and cases on the esc's, aluminum screws and ball ends, and wheels, I'm down to 4 ounces even per wheel/tire.

Yep right at 4 oz per wheel here as well. That's 8 oz right there. Decasing and aluminum will get even closer. ![]() |

Well, during some practice I broke a 2nd gear shaft. So, after I preached about stock gears holding up I can put my foot in my mouth and buy some axial machined gears. I may even get the rc4wd or VP cases just to have larger bearings and less flex in the axles. Other than that I am enjoying the setup. I need to work on the front "push". and It seems to dive into holes instead of being able to float a tire like my berg. Once I get these two issues resolved I'll probably designated the xr as my new comp rig. |

Also, cut the skid down to clear the new esc mount. Rounded the edges off and added a small bend to help prevent hangups. ![]() How did you bend the skid like that ? some tip ? thks, Emmanuel. |
