Well, I had this xr10 for a long time. As soon as rpp released preorder info I was on the list. I drove it stock for a few comps but didn't have the clearance I needed. Chad30w let me drive his BWD wedge xr at crawlopooloza and I purchased one on the spot. I then wanted to try a bodiless rig, I then picked up a T1E ss, which led me to a Missouri state championship. Me being me, I couldn't leave well enough alone and I picked up a loaded berg in the classifieds. I tried to sell the xr with zero luck. I then parted it out and everything sold except the axles. After a few wasted pm's I just decided to hang on to them knowing one day would come when I wanted to build it up again. I watched krawl freak build his 3.5 bodiless xr and I knew this was the chassis for me. Here is the current parts list.. Y-town secret agent 3.5 bodiless CF chassis Vanquish C-hubs Vanquish knuckles Vanquish upper links front and rear Vanquish motor plates Chaotic crawler secret agent link set Chaotic crawler xr10 steering link D-lux xr10 knuckle weights Wheel works wheels losi boss claws shaved with stock foams axial scx-10 shocks losi mini-t silver springs losi mrc silver springs Jeep n doug mini t spring cups traxxas aluminum hollow balls ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Obviously it still needs electronics. I am also waiting on rowdy racing's battery and electronics mount. I need to spend some time working on rodends and link binding but its very minimal especially for literally bolting this chassis together as fast as I could. I also need to rebuild the shocks and replace the springs. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Last edited by klabeaume; 03-23-2012 at 08:55 PM. |

| ![]() I need to order some new hardware too, but I wanted to see what all sizes I need. I'll be switching most to aluminum screws and nuts. I am excited to see what this rig can do as well.

Looks to me that your link binding is coming from the front lowers at the chassis. The links are not bent as much as mine creating a steeper angle there. You can put a very thin washer between the sideplates and the rod end to get some clearance so you don't have to bend the links more. I was informed today from another individual that those links were a bit off. | |

Thanks guys, I haven't had much time to work on this rig in the last few days. Work gets in the way sometimes. I am waiting on some rowdy mounts to get the electronics in. Then playing with these scx10 shocks will begin.

I got some work done on the speed controls today. Moved the wires to the front or back to fit my needs. I don't like dual esc's with wires running all over each other. Also, removed the heat shirk from the bec, to route the rx wire through the same side as the power wires. Installed some new heat shrink and taped in on the back side of the servo. I still need to add my rear motor wires to the rear esc and add all the deans too. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() |

Thanks guys. I got my rowdy racing mounts in. These things are very nice, easy to install and straight forward design. ![]() ![]() Also, cut the skid down to clear the new esc mount. Rounded the edges off and added a small bend to help prevent hangups. ![]() |

If you cut that big cap off the bec it'll fit right under the servo. Did it to mine and havent had any problems with out the cap on it. ![]() Also with some 16/18g wire you can get those esc's even smaller and ligher if you wanted. ![]() Trucks coming along nice ![]() ..... what hubs are you running on your front wheels? |
