Default 2 FXR's --- 1 Capacitor??

Im trying to condense and was curious if you can run two FXR's off one capacitor?? I have soldered the battery terminals together so Im not sure if the two are necessary..Plus Id like to avoid the added weight and space it takes up.

Let me know your thoughts...Thanks

I've seen it done just recently in a XR10 build thread. It was one larger cap instead of one per esc. I'm bugger'd to remember what build it was though.... I think it was a Secret Agent build... don't quote me though.

Hello,

i run only one cap. The Tekin caps have 330µF/16V and i use a 680µF/25V for both ESC's. The reason for the 680 value is, when you run to 330's in parallel (that's what you do when you couple the batt conections) you double the value to 660. Running only one 330 might be a problem, but who has the balls to test. BTW, with the 680 there's no weight and space saving.

Greetings Frank

Isn't that the fat cap that CI sells is used for?

I have alway just had one of the caps that comes with the fxr. Most of the guys I drove with when I started just ran one cap for both esc's. I have never once had a problem on 3s.

I am running two hand wound 35t motors on one cap, upgraded, and have no issues. Plenty of punch and no glitching.

So if I understand correctly, you could put the "stock" fxr cap (single) per se on the esc that has the battery leads, just jumper the B+/- to the 2nd esc and wire up the motors just as labeled? (Does that make any sense).

Sorry, Im right at this stage as well and debating options.
