Default bjv4.2 turned agent512

well i have been on the forums for a while now but have yet to do a build thread. so i think its time, even though it will use a mojority of the parts off of my current comp rig. so here is the donor with agent 512 waiting on top.

sorry about the mess, i am in the process of cleaning it up for the upcoming build. it weights in at 5lb4oz with slw bc combo and 5lb 8oz with khaos slw combo. waiting on aluminum hardware right now for lightining it up. so heres a list of things it has already

front axle- vp chubs, vp knuckles modded( lower double shear arm shaved off and tie rod moved above the upper shear arm. did this due too so much caster and the tie rod being low because of it), vp trany housing and plate, vp upper link mount spaced 3mm,vp upper case half, cf servo mount, delrin behind the axle battery mount, dlux knuckle weights, mix of axial lightened gears and rc4wd gears, ti shaft.

rear axle- front axle housing, ti shaft, some axial lightened gears, vp trans housing and plate, vp upper link mount

shocks are cap modded scaler proline powerstrokes with mini springs red in back and losi mini crawler silvers in front

electronics- dual fxrs, castle bec, hitec 7950, 4pk, cheap battery packs elite 600's

so i will be on the quest to lighten it up to under 5lbs, so between the chassis and aluminum hardware i should be able to reach it pretty easily( well and some other little things).

woops how did that bad boy get in there more to come as parts and build time arrive.

These style rigs have such aesthetic appeal to me, I just have to build something like this someday. Thanks for sharing I love reading these build threads.

here you go

with so much caster my tie rod was hangin down almost under the axle housing. so my buddy jonbo tried this mod and has been runin it for months now with no problems. definatly got it right back to where it needs to be, tucked rigght in. had to put a 5* bend in the tie rod at both ends and shorten the ends a smidge. well the aluminum hardware came in today so now its time too shed some weight. tore apart the bj4 earlier, i was tearing up a little. been putting aluminum and ti harware in chassis, front housing and rear housing and it is great watchin the scale go down.

well not gonna be the lightest agent but doing pretty good. all together except roof, battery, wheels, esc's, bec, reciever, so 3 lb 1.1oz not bad. dlux cf wheels on the way suspension feels great, cant wait to get her to the rocks. 3.25 gc and 12.49999999999999999wb coouldnt get a good pic of the lexan motor screw covers but they are like jeremy's cf ones just not as cool

last night got it together and rtr weight is 5lb 1.1oz so didnt hit the goal quite yet. so today ripped the rear trans apart and applying the krawlfreak treatment to the motorplate and cover, shaved the hell outta the bc sidewalls and put the swiss cheese slw's on the back. also took the front wheel lead weight from 1.5oz to .75 oz. this should get me down closer to where i want to be, until the dlux cf wheels arrive

well got it back together and i am in the 4lb club, just barley. weighted in at 4lb 14.8oz. tommorow gonna shave the sidewalls on the front bc's. then possibly take the dlux 100's i have cut in half off the knuckle weights. so question should i put the battery on a rowdy mount and move the electronics to the existing battery tray? or leave the esc's in the car.

well i think this anerexia thing is habit forming. all i can think about is how to get it lighter. plans include rowdy battery mount and electronics tray, moving the electronics to the front axle, dlux cf wheels, chris the battery man super shrink fxr's w/bec. so with the electronics on the front axle i should be able to remove some front knuckle weight
