Default Ruffryder`s Secret Agent

Jeremy sent me a little box of viagra!

This won`t be any skinny build, more a beefeater build
I`ll be using drilled out SLW`s and HB block tyres, so that kills me straight away!

So far got the chassis built up, with ti screws

Only got the rear axle built so far.... I used the stock plastic centre gearcase instead of the VP alloy. Changed the VP lockouts for stock plastic as i`m running EGRESSor ti drive shafts that run dual bearings either side, so there`s no worries of flex in the VP axle tops. I used a mix of Axial machined and RC4WD gears. The smaller gears of both makes weigh the same so i used the smaller RC4WD gears as they have taller teeth. Axial ti gear shaft and ti screws to finish it off. The weight`s not too bad. The motor wires and bullet connectors will be gone, so the weight in the pic will be slightly less.

EGRESSor ti shafts. Beef and dual bearing...love them!

Not had much time to do anything with this. Git it built but need to run it more to dial it in.
The scx10 shocks got some bladders and bleedholes in the top cap, and i swapped the black plastic spacer for a blue o-ring that came in the mini Revo GTR shock rebuild set that i used for the bladders.

Ground the universals down

Used stock plastic rear lockouts with the bit sticking out the bottom ground down, and a grub screw to hold it in place

Running 4oz knuckle weight at the minute

Added a 3mm carbon spacer under the front top link mount, cut down rowdy guarded battery mount, Rowdy motor esc mount and some Dlux carbon beadlocks. It`s not a super light truck and i`m still working at getting the truck feeling how i like. Just need it to stop raining

Here`s a short vid of it`s first test just after being built, running SLW`s

That looks awesome without even moving, are you going to try cut'n'shuts in the future for narrower footprint?

...what's your foam setup

They`re HB red blocks, Panther Leopard sidewall on the fronts and Rover sidewall on the rear. Thought about narrowing an older set of blocks to try them out...may still do it, but i like these as they are. Been running blocks for nearly a year and i`m just used to them

Foams are Crawler Innovation soft inner and medium outer, with a firm outer ring in the fronts. Rear are medium inner and outer. They`re all well used foams so have softened up a bit. I use an outer ring to `crown` the front tyre a bit for more bite.

Whats the point of grinding the universals? More steering?

With the high steering angles that are being achieved now a days grinding them is sometimes neccesary. I have had set where I have not had to thought.
