| Chaotic crawler lw chassis shock help
Hey guys I need to ask, I just got some traxxas big bore shocks and put some losi mini t springs, so do I have to do the mod for the shock cap? I don't really want to do it but will if I have to. Thanks! |

It is definately not required. But it does help your suspension cycle smoother.

So I should do it then? Or if I run them just normally and not up side down will it work just fine?

Traxxas # 1942 is the pack I buy. There are 4 short ends in there. Use the short ones. |

I cut the cap loop off with a dremmel, then ground it flat and finished it off with a file Turn it over and you'll see a very useful centre mark which you may think is ideal for a drill bit (3mm) but the hard anodizing is harder than it looks, I drilled from the outside It's only about 1mm thick so you won't be tapping it, get an M3 sllen screw about 10mm long and put it through the cap from the inside, then simply screw on the rod ends The original bladder is a good seal as long as you don't wrench it down hard and rip it |

Or if u really don't want to drill ur shocks u could order the D-Lux balls they make for the big bore shocks. on my truck i did the mod to the front and used the d-luxs balls for the rear.seams to work good alittle loose but not to bad. Hope this help and good luck on ur build u will LOVE the chassis i know i am every time i use it, it just gets better. Last edited by chevotafun; 04-21-2012 at 10:09 AM. |

What size drill bit standard size should I use for my 3mm screws? Or should I use 4mm with a revo rod end?

Check out WickedWolfRc. He makes a cap that uses revos and is sealed with an o ring on the inside of the cap instead of relying on the bladder. No leaks whatsoever. They are knurled for grip and very nice. I run them on my 3.5" BB's and they are just slightly shorter than the stock shocks. Hope this helps ya |
