Maybe I missed this but.... I was looking and found axial had some titanium gear shafts, like this Axial XR10 Titanium Gear Shafts, I have never seen anyone ever mention these as upgrades and was curious why. They seem to be pretty nice because they are lighter and stronger, even in the bulletproof or lightweight threads I haven't seem these mentioned. Anybody know why? Or if these are any good? Thanks |
Re: Maybe I missed this but.... idk if they are really necessary, ive never had problems with my stock shafts. (knock on wood) |
Re: Maybe I missed this but.... Either have I but I haven't seen a thing about them. I think they are 40% lighter as well, I would have figured the light weights would be loving these. |
Re: Maybe I missed this but.... most folks go and get the rc4wd gears if they want strength, I dont see a reason to go lighter in the gear case when strength there seems like a really good idea |
Re: Maybe I missed this but.... The axial titanium gear shafts dont look to hold up too well to bushings. so be careful Ruffryder`s XR10 v4 Beetlejuice! - Page 9 - 2.2 Crawler Builds - rccrawling.co.uk look for post no.180(bottom of page) |
