Default Boost's NEW Chaotic Switch Build...NOW 2.0!!

NONSTOPBOOST's Chaotic Switch

I ran the Tuna Special a couple of years ago then I switched over to the Special Bodiless once it released a year or so ago and I have loved it ever since. The Special raised my game level and brought me a few Top podium finishes. Click here to check out my Special build

NOW since its proven that lighter is better I have a whole design goal in mind. Im not quite sure I will ever get in the 3 or even low 4lb range but I do plan to hit up some Jenny Craig!!!

Specs:
XR axles - Vanquish'd up, RC4WD gears
Futaba 4PL
Dual Texin FXR
Futaba BLS157HV Servo
Phantom 45t motors
Dlux Wheels with carbon faces
Dlux Wheel weights

I was able to pick up the NEW Chaotic Switch Carbon chassis. This chassis has it all....Custom skid, Carbon plates, delrin standoffs, spacers and hardware.

The skid is an awesome custom design. Since I was coming from the Special standard skid that was large and bulky its obvious this will decrease my weight on the chassis right where I want it. I never ran the LW skid so I cant contest to the screws being a hang up. But I have seen many pics that show major wear on the screw which leads me to believe it can hinder your sliding.

As usual it was nice to get the delrin cab spacers and standoffs already drilled and tapped for a simple construction process...

It came with 7 Delrin main chassis stand offs. The main construction used 5 spacers and the other two are for between the shocks for strength. For now I will throw all 7 spacers in but as I get the weight down super low I will likely take out the 2 spacers possibly more. I can see spacers 1 and 3 being necessary to mount the hood as well as 4 to mount the roof panel. But if you wanted to go extreme light im sure you could eliminate 2,5,6,and 7 and just nut the back side.

This is some of the strongest carbon I have ever seen. Then paired with the standoffs and hardware this thing has little to no flex or movement. It reminds me of the rigidity and strength I had with the 7075 Aluminum Tuna Special I ran way back when.

Because I couldn't wait and wanted to start this build I only had the Black Oxide hardware option but I plan to swap it out to the Aluminum Hardware once Chaotic gets it in stock.

Nice chassis! I've been looking forward to seeing some of these built up. It looks like a great platform for a strong and lightweight rig.

That skid is sweet! Such a good idea!

Got a total weight for the chassis with AL screws?

I know I love the skid
I am picking up aluminum tonight so I will hopefully get some weights up soon.

But without hardware it is at 1.75 oz

Im trying to get this build done quick so people can see it plus I just flat out wana start driving. However my dirty work area must be attended to first (just built my Ultra 4) before I can even start to begin...

I have been communicating with them in pm expressing my interest, but a pre order is a little different situation than being out of stock.,
