What does spacing out the links at the rear axle do?

They help cancel out a little bit of the axle steer. I found that with those little spacers, the truck tracks straighter and is easier to drive up v-notches

So how much space is in between the rod end balls with the spacers?

I don;t have spacers between my rod and balls. My ball are quite large and thus occupy alot of space.

But based of fhis pic, looks like about 3mm per side.

Its done

Tomorrow I start my "epic journey in a small car" to the Pacific Coast Championships. I've been thrashing to get this rig ready for the comp and I've been severely slacking on the updates for the last few weeks. BIG thanks to all of my sponsors who have made this thing possible. Hopefully I will be seeing a lot of you guys in Monterey. If this truck lives up to half of its potential it will be impressive to say the least

Look for a full write-up and build details once I'm home from the comp
