If you have a 4 ch tranny and two ESC's you don't need to, the futaba 4pk for instance can run variable speed to the rear from zero to 100%

Unfortunately I'm currently running the novak m2 dig esc. Its proportional dig sucks, period. Pretty much non existant. Was thinking since everyone runs over/under on their minis and sportys, that this might be a "cheap" temporary fix for me until I can afford dual micro sidewinders.

Whats wrong with the M2 proportianal dig?? Have you changed up the settings? And how much % Adjustment do you have?? I seem to like 5% increases for hard stuff and then use 10-15% for normall fun driving??

I thought you couild even boost the rear with the 4PKS just like with the 4PL, you can push it up to 120%.

I have my switch set at 5% increments, but when I hit it, it doesn't change speed. If I keep bumping it up, the rear wheels eventually don't move until enough throttle is applied. But even after that they spin at the same speed. What settings do you have?

Now I remember, the M2 propo was real goofy because it varied with the throttle input. That was one one my dislikes with the M2.

I used to run different pinions in my 2.2 Bully when I had a single ESC & servo dig.

Switched to dual ESC's & a WantAmix adaptor (with a 3PM-x) and things were a lot better.

I had an M2 when I first got my used XR-10, I used 5% steps in the TX (hacked GT3B) which was OK. Still didn't really like the M2 though & sold it.

Now I'm running dual CC Sidewinder Micros & a GT3B hacked.

Not sure where the M2 stands on using the programming cable, some spots say to NOT use it or you will kill the ESC, others indicate it's OK to use.

Some of this info is from their website.

Yes I set mine at 5% For most stuff.. And yeah I forgot that it is throttle position relative.. Im sure dual esc's would be a better route?? But I dont like the idea of the extra wiring.

Im saving up some $$ to get dual cc sidewinder micros right now. Just thinking that offset pinions would help till then.

I run a 15 up front and 14 in the rear with dual mamba micro pro's and a 4pks. I can overdrive the rear from the 4pks if I need to even it up some.
