What do you mean by "tip"?
Pulling off the rock on a vertical climb ?
Or are you referring to sidehill situations?

Falling backwards on a vert, it seems to let go suddenly

It kinda does
I don't have tons of experience especially with the light weight rigs ( 5 - sub 5 lb ) but in the vids I posted like vid #2 going up the flat slab into the large rock the truck pulls away at like 80~90* and on the other side of that rock that was just a bad line
And in #5 that side of that rock really only has 1 line you miss it you fall off ...

So I gave her a three course meal tonight and the sp did well although my driving wasn't there on course (i believe I ran out of time on all three being too careful) I was able to make every gate off the clock most with ease

With that said I won't be changing my linkage right now I'm gonna get some more wheel time in first and see what I think

That is a nice looking rig there Steve. I thing its sexier with bully axles. I had no idea you were going to do a thread. It looks like it works pretty good. I still like the narrow cab better. I had my front upper links short like that and it made my rear do all sorts of weird undesirable things. I can't believe yours words like that even after seeing it with my own eyes.

Yeah I know first real build thread
Thought about trying short uppers in the rear to match the front but I'll need to use different lower rears because the uppers and lowers will bind terribly if I go to a short link upper with these high clearence lowers which would result in way less articulation amongst other things

Yeah I know
And the old ones would get into the upper links at times so now I have a touch more articulation

ok so i ran into a little problem last night...
on two different courses the front of the skid got hung up on the rocks
leaving the front wheels floating in air and costing me reverse penalties
HCM suggested more of a bend in the skid which i did when i got home
im still not sold on that thinking of triming the front so it tucks up behind the motor....

I think that'll make it worse, either lengthen it to tuck between the axle and motor or cut it back to just behind the motor

That line is just the preliminary first cut type line the plan is to have it up in behind the motor so things transfer from motor to skid without catching on the skid

If that doesn't work I'll go longer and tuck it up under the steering linkage .... maybe ....

Noob question here, what's the difference between the bully axles and the xr10 axles?

Bullys are bomb proof out the box but steering lock is poor, xr10 is the opposite!
