Where to buy XR10s online?

I am having a hard time finding someone that has XR10s in stock.

Some Chinese site called HPIRCHOBBY.com claims to have 385 in stock at $112 each. Seems too good to be true given no one else has any. Anyone done business with this company? I can't find any info on them.

Any other place have XR10s in stock?

Never mind the HPIRCHOBBY site. Just for the hell of it I tried to order one and the only way it will let me pay is by sending Western Union to some guy in China. I don't think so!

So where else can I buy a kit?

That site has to be a scam. They are also advertising LOSI 5ive-T's for $699 and claim to have 499 in stock. This truck retails for $1500 and I can assure you that no dealer can buy them for that price. That price is half of dealer cost. I know, I am a Horizon retailer.

I did my own searching but no luck... i'd say look for anyone parting company with XR stuff here but im kinda doubtful that will happen. Ahh looks like im going to be late to the XR party...

just buy the parts if your going to build a good comp truck. you will throw 90 percent of it away if you get a kit .

Wow that's crazy , they had stacks of kits shortly before Xmas in there store. Luckily I picked one up last week !!!

You beat me to that thought... all you *really* need is the axles and if your smart you can piece together a nice set of axles with some VP parts and the rest being Axial so for those who want a full XR kit you got it but for those who add their own goodies, why not just peacemeal one together. That's my plan

Ya just build it, lots of people go bodiless and replace all the parts anyway or replace the chassis. Upgrade the gears to a stronger set. I would just buy a nice set of axles off the classifieds, buy the chassis I wanted and go from there.

Feels like such a waste buying the kit. I'm not using much more than the bottom axel halves and the hardware for them from the kit. Probably going to replace all of the hardware as well though.

Tough to do if you are new to crawlers and don't know a knuckle from a pinion. And I am pretty sure it is going to cost a lot more to put it together piecemeal than a complete kit for $150.

If anyone has an XR10 kit or complete for sale send me a PM - seems I don't have enough posts to see the "for sale" classifieds.
