Now that I'm awake. Thanks Rowdy. I only hit it once. Went to my local spot and put a couple of packs through it. Most of the good rock was over grown. So I had to use the lesser technical rock. But it's still pretty sandy. These things are stick icky, white on rice, glue on fly paper, etc! It was already hot as a mofo at 9 am. So these things were hooking up. The best side hill I could find with out tweeds all over it. And the Glamor shot. The suspension was a little stiff. I'm running 30wt, but since it a little lighter I might go back to 20wt. The comp is in the high desert, so hopefully the 90+ weather will limp up that oil. More info then. |

Well the first comp with only an hour of test/tune time. Not too bad. Only 2 problems. I had a suspension issue on the first course. Due to my body, not my shock oil. So I trimmed the SOB up and that solved it. The foam setup was not the greatest. I threw on some proline dual stage crawler foams. Way too soft, but it still worked well enough to drive. Going to move on to the next setup, if that doesn't work, I'll try one of the other team drivers setups. But I want to try some more options out there as well. Out in the Apple Valley for the comp, and it was a sweet place to crawl. Thanks to West Coast RC Crawlers for putting on a great event for the finals. I didn't get any action shots, because I was driving. Plus the local shutterbug (Big Dudes wife) wasn't present to get all the comps shots of the driving. Even with the tires dirtied up, they still had plenty of grip. |

I always said your body was holding you back How was the wear on those tires? I'm curious to see how long a set will last on our rocks |

Action shots, smaction shots. I GOT VIDEO OF YER SILLY SELF! I'll get thru it in a bit & post it up for ya. Tires looked good. Foams looked bad. They seemed pretty planted even tho the foams were spongefied in the hot Cali sun. Good job sucka! Word to yo mutha! |

| Re: Frankenwheely's XR10 ReBuild Just under 11" in the front and slightly narrow in the rear. I took the tires apart to change foam set up. So I will get the correct numbers when I re mount them. It worked great on the side hills and drop down turns. I will be doing some crazy foam tuning here in the next few weeks getting them ready for the AZ shootout. More surprises and info coming. I haven't had this much fun testing and crawling in a long time. Last edited by Frankenwheely; 05-16-2013 at 12:40 AM. |

Tying to get rid of the competition. Less drivers, more chances for me to get a top finish. |

6" with a medium outers? That seems ballzy. I was thinking POSSIBLY 6" with a soft outer. SO......... what foams do you have in mind for what compound? |

| Re: Frankenwheely's XR10 ReBuild Not ballsy at all, it's probably the best setup for these tires actually, 6" soft front, med rear, tuning rings depending on weight. |
