Perhaps one day, I have to get a new toy....

Thx Floh, now i think the same like you about i have to break in the rovers to get them working. I wondered why the rovers works at the Last course very good but at the first courses not really. I think they where not really RTR at these time. This explains because outgoing grip in some situations
We will see us in France and if you want you could try to get some rocks with my lightweight one more time.

How did you like them? Isn't it nice to get full steering w/o rubbing:ror:

I think i need more practice time with them(not only 5 batterie times) and a better working foamsetup. At saturday i try to do the same foam setup like you do, but i think i was not really the same.

The nice Steering and the reduced weight at the rear is great!!!...with the 500' pullers and the skinny rovers he is really light at.the rear. I hope to get the right Setup the next days.

Perhaps it's not so much like you think. If you look right at the weight picture there is no battery and no weights on board. With 100g in front and the battery the RTR weight is 1604g

Thx Chris...we will see what happens at BIG...

Hi, nice build. I am just curious are the blue screws on the rear axle .5mm pitch. If so, do you have to do the brass insert mod? Thanks,

They are Traxxas Oilite bushings, product code TRA3775, 12pcs in one bag and you need 4pcs/axle

good job my friend for your 3th place at the french nats

ZZR 1100 Racer 07-31-2013 02:00 PM

@laalaa - thank you lasse. I would like to tell you that I went with the skinny rovers. Sorry, but at the moment I felt safer with the Bossclaws. For this reason, I was also on the start with the losi's. Perhaps at the next comp i will try again.

@yzik - thx, my friend - hope to see you soon

@TC94 - Sorry, that i could't find time at the end to have a look at your setup. If you have any question, please write PN or ask here. i will answer as fast as i can.

...yes, at the last weekend i'm able to take the 3rd at the second biggest comp in europe - the nats in france - called the BIG. Before i i went to france i changed my setup complete for better sidehilling and better control in every situation...and it works fine for me.

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/agumudup.jpg

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/e2ynydy7.jpg

Setup:

I did made 8mm inner limiter inside the dumpers in Front - 8cm or 3,15" from eye to eye
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/8emure3u.jpg
and outside limiter also
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/8egamy6e.jpg

At the rear i did not use inner limiter. They have 9.5cm or 3,74" from eye to eye
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/udamedub.jpg

i changed the position of the rear dumpers.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/yzare3ud.jpg

and now i use the special quick comp outer limiter from my friend "fritzthefly". If i now need more clearence i could put them out in 2 seconds. The only thing i have to do is to go back one hole before.
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/bunejyry.jpg

With this setup it's :

Minimum - 4,5cm or 1,77"
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/4aze6uze.jpg

Driving - 7,0cm or 2,76"
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/quqype7e.jpg

Maximum 8,5cm or 3,35" or without quick limiters and hole changing 8,9cm or 3,5"
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/suhuzu7u.jpg

@hittman...i think with Voodoo's it will be fine...if you need other pictures or perhaps a Video, please tell me
http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/08/01/e6u6y6aj.jpg

now only some impressions of the last weekend and let me say that i love the BIG so much. I think it's the coolest comp in europe with a great nature and really friendly and open mind people and a lot of new friends. I will come back next year...that's for shure...

Looking real good. I like the mods to the shocks.

Perhaps you could post a pic of the rig upside down?
Thanks!

Edit: Congrats on the 3rd place finish as well"thumbsup"

If you get a chance would you ask you friend what shocks those caps came from? Thanks in advance!

ZZR 1100 Racer 08-01-2013 02:00 PM

@Zarizi Tech - thx a lot. Good to here that we will see us at the nats of france, Samu! Then it will be even more exciting when the top riders from Finland also play in france with us. The good thing is, that I have some time to be better for these competion in 2014. I'm Very excited about, what the finnish team could achieve at the nats of USA 2013...

@Nigels_world - the caps are from the HSP-Kulakcrawler. The friend of mine who did made them has taken the square case and turned around. Then he turned discs through which the rodend is screwed. Thereafter, the disc is inserted into the cap. In order to make this mod, you have good machines and corresponding experience need. Timo is in my country one of the best bergaxels builder.

@hittman - big thx to you, too!!I am very pleased that there is also a top driver like you, who like what we do in europe!

Sorry, but I regret to tell you that you can not drive on the head with my setup and the old school bossclaws. I tried some minutes before in the kitchen. With the Vooodoos it should go. If you want i could test it with the voodoo's of a friend of mine in two weeks.

I am very curious where it will go...

Here is the pic you want

Thanks for the info on the shocks. I do have the equipment to do it but who knows if ill ever actually attempt it. Good tech either way.

Why didn't you use the cap as is with the included rod end?

It is always fun to watch the videos from your big comps. Not much different, but always entertaining.

It looks very close when upside down though. I think like we talked about with Voodoo's, it won't be a problem at all.

Thanks for posting more pics. It showed me exactly what I wanted to see"thumbsup"

@fritzthefly - It's a nice video, but what who was the lousy driver who pushes gate after gate, although Fred says exactly what he have to do. Perhaps he is deaf or simple a little bit stupid. The DNF he therefore fully deserves.
What i'm learning is...always trust your rig and friendly french drivers...

Only a little update, but importend for me...some nice parts to make the rig stiffer an no more bend hardware if the reptile should fall times higher. Since i changed to the reptile i thought i have to install parts like that to make it stronger for the harder falls. Here they are...
