ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Hello guys, i would like to show you the brand new chassie CK Reptile which i got one week before the biggest comp in Europa "Supercrawl 2013" started. it was certainly a big risk to change the chassie yet so close to the most important event in our country, but it has worked so well from the first minute that I just had to try...And it works - i'm able to make the 5. after quali and the 7. after shotout in final. the most important is the slightly elevated Skidplatte but in practice some brint. You can go low and still has the ground clearance that you sometimes can not compensate by technology. Inside the rig are: micro sidewinder team brood KR 30t motors - team edition NCD - nuckle weight system homemade titanaxle made from a friend in the rear hitec 7950 Homemade Carbon gearplates made from a friend Homemade lightweight hubs made from a friend now i'm still looking forward for some new wheels from Nordic Crawler Design and 500 Pullerīs from Mr. Holmes http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/ebapyra7.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/hu5ajuty.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/qasa3y7u.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/se5uragu.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/y5udasah.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/ra6ybunu.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/emazebeg.jpg Some pics from the Supercrawl 2013 http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/epasysa6.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/egyja4a9.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/haqe6abu.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/y2emaqu9.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/5u8u8yde.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/uva2edy9.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/epu4anub.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/5ytahy3u.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/qu9egu7e.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/nenupery.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/y5aheryd.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/23/ujuqyten.jpg ...hope you like...if you want to now anything ask me... re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Hi Stephan. What rear shocks are you running? It looks similar to SCX10 but the shock caps are different... |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 What front axels are those? |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Cool collection of pics. Chassis looks like shes workin well for ya. x2 on the shock caps. Im assuming the same cat that made your axles maybe turned out some nice aluminum caps for the SCX bodies? JD |
@curcal It's SDS 300 HD's with 70 degree @rofu Hi Team Sweden - that's the EGRESSor houses - they are dry and not licking like the SCX dampers @HARDKNOCKZ Thx and nice that you like. Yes the chassie works great for me.The caps are from cheap set of dampers. A friend of Mine modified them for me, but i don't know the Name now - i can't remember. If you want to know I will ask him for you. I have these cap on the damper to compensate the mass. Otherwise he would not be very steep rear mounted high enough or the dampers have to stand precipitously, but i don't like these. The cheap shocks http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/25/6a2y8aga.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/25/age7asuz.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/25/usuryvaq.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/05/25/9anyta8a.jpg |

re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 I'm curios to see how well the three post point mounting will hold up, I've seen four but not three. Also curious how it effects your foams! |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Quote:
you mustīt wonder about the three spacer. A lot of my friends and myself use the three spacer system since half to one year or longer and there is no differenz to feel to 4, 5 or 6 and no effect to the foams as well. Bevor i used this system i thought the same like you think now, but nothing happens...only lighter... But iīm curios by myself about the 1.5mm slices at the rear...if they will brake i have to change to the 2.0. thatīs the reason why i ordered 2 slices of 2.0 extra from tomy. |
Where are you getting the titanium hardware? |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 hey can you get this in the US |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 love the look of your rig! amassing congratulations |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Hi Stefan !! That was still an immense pleasure of meeting you in SuperCrawl. Congratulations for your good performance "thumbsup" the conditions weather were not very good and rocks very slipping  |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Quote:
I think in the German Crawl spots there is no Problem with a 3 Bar, but in the high mountains and in some of the US Spots i know, they won't hold up longtime after a tumble down ..... a tumble down can also kill VP wheels.... remember Vegas 2011...... i`m at 20g with a 5bar wheel 3 piece designe and VP 475 hub mounted on with all screws and i think i can loose another 1-2 g on each wheel with my new standoffs |

re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Your rig look extremely light and well balanced when you jump around in the afterworkvideo:) What is your weight RTR? BTW, I found a Reptile in the Crawlerkeller candy store at Supercrawl. Hope to finish it soon:) |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 1 Attachment(s) BTW, I found a Reptile in the Crawlerkeller candy store at Supercrawl. Hope to finish it soon:)
very good choice, Team Sweden:)..the higher and shorter skidplate is really good. In the video iīm not able to drive five of the scenes with my old rig...with the Reptile now itīs possible...little differenz, but maximum effect
Your rig look extremely light and well balanced when you jump around in the afterworkvideo:) What is your weight RTR? istīs not really extremely light, but good balanced for my drivingstyle. In the video i drove: 1688 g +110 g for both side nuckleweights +44 g Aku =1842g with the new NCD-Wheels itīs 1810 g RTR ...but today i got some thing to go to the next level and about 90-100g will falling down:twisted: |
Here they are...big thank's to John for these great work http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/uryhemam.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/avadazav.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/y8a9etup.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/5u8yjyse.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/14/yqezy5ej.jpg |

See you both on the rocks tomorrow Stephan |
Yesterday was the next comp in the eastside of my country. Unfortunately, there was little problems in the beginning. A night before the comp i have to change the servo because the old one was gone to the end one day before. The next big problem i had on the first course. the frontmotor stopped working before i could clear gate 5. i have to do a outside repair. A friend of mine(Big Thx to Timo!!!!!) find out, that the winding of the Motor was damaged. I think the Old motors heard that them should be exchanged and thanked on the course for these. that's the reason why i have to build in the brand new holmes at the compside to have the chance to finish the comp. And what could i say - they work really great and i' m able to do the third place. 1.5 hours engine swap at the compside http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/16/8ypygy9u.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/16/7e7ane9e.jpg 3. servo in one year driving, what i had to change http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/16/a6aqu7ur.jpg RTR weight with 110g in Front and the new puller 500S inside yesterday http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/16/jemaryje.jpg ...but the end was fine... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/16/amu3aba6.jpg ...Sorry for my bad english... |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 nice job , you re ready for the french nat . |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Good job at Super Crawl and your results. Nice work on your rig.what specs are your Puller 500's? Glad to see the G3 Cyclones on your rig. They work great on my rig and is good to see others getting use out of them. Tomi told me someone else had them now. "thumbsup""thumbsup" |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 @cyprinhunter-thx a lot and really looking forward to meet you and your reptile in one month at the nat's of france Quote:
With the design selection of rims I've really been looking for a very long time until I'm finally able to find in your Tread. Important was light and stiff and your wheeldesign is definitely both. I also looked out for a design which was similar to the coat of arms of the "isle of man" which i visited in the Year 2000 with my motorbike - it shows three leg's... The motors are 30T. I drove one year the team motors with KR-four maget cans from brood with 30t also inside, but the new ones from john works very different to them. |
In glad you like the design and it suited the design them of The Isle of Man. The guys from Finland are driving very strong at the monent. I need more drive time myself. Im keen to watch jow this build develops for you too. Good luck in future events :) Sent from my GT-I9300 using Tapatalk 2 |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 those reptile chassis look great! |
@Oz Bruiser - thx, and the same to you, about good luck Quote:
since the car in the rear now has about 60g less weight, I wanted to try to reduce the weight in front also. Did the test run in the night performed, because It was to hot for me in the day and I drive at night anyway actually very pleasant ...only the stones, the rig and you - nothing else more...good for setup tests The test run was even better than I thought. It's really impressive where you come up everywhere. Just be aware with fast movements, otherwise it makes a departure by the lack of weight forward. I have to test the next days if it works fine, or i still have to put some weight at the front back...we will see http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/23/dyzubepe.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/23/u2u7yqy6.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/06/23/ny4enyby.jpg |
Here is the current ranking of our national comps after round three. Now only one comp is missing. One Stringresult. ...Reptilepower... http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/04/upahunug.jpg |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Really..."P u s s y" came in 11th place? |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 It looks like the lower rear links are higher then the upper links at one spot. Wow thats a cool chassis. |

Got some new parts. Thanks for fast shipping. - only 8 days until I got. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/09/azygupam.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/09/uvysugeh.jpg |
At the Super Crawl I became aware of laalaa's skinny rovers. He told me that he had more grip, better steering and less weight than conventional tires. The idea to implement this too, no longer let myself go since. After I had installed my new engine I knew that I had to have. The main argument for me was to reduce weight at the rear. I asked a friend ,namely "Highfly", for help. He is known for as a good producer of super tires. The reason why he made these tires for me was that he also think a long time before to make some smaller 2.2 tires for himself. A Big thx to Tom for making the tires for me and Lasse for the great idea!!! After I got the beautiful parts two days ago, i drove yesterday a little fun comp with that tires. My result was very bad, but it was a good chance for the testing in Comp situation before the nats in france. I think it's a hard work to choose the right foamsetup. Perhaps crawler innovation could help me. Also now i have to test how much weight i need in front. The shockoil and perhaps the springs i think i have to change also with these new setup. Now i have to test two weeks and then i will see what happens at the biggest Comp in France - the BIG. http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/je5aba6u.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/e7ybahav.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/ypuga5ut.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/ezyvyhe2.jpg http://img.tapatalk.com/d/13/07/15/8ypa9y5e.jpg We do the same size like boss claws, because perhaps we could switch between the tires. I think i would also like to try Bossi's in front and lightweight skinny rovers in the rear. |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 The weight difference is amazing! |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Good that you got skinny tires done"thumbsup" How did you like them? Isn't it nice to get full steering w/o rubbing:ror: |
Like already told, just take your time to get familier with your new setup. Think also about you have to break in the rovers To get them working. I really liked the "featherlight" dynamic of your rig to get up that little rock @ Timo's place. Perhaps one day, I have to get a new toy.... |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 Good luck at the "BIG" Stephan! And take 2 pairs of Bossis in your luggage, perhaps you can drive 30g less Knuckleweights with "fat" Bossis ;-) |
re: ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5 as you can lose so much weight in so little time |
