Default ZZR's...now it's a REMEDY 3.5

Hello guys,

i would like to show you the brand new chassie CK Reptile which i got one week before the biggest comp in Europa "Supercrawl 2013" started.

it was certainly a big risk to change the chassie yet so close to the most important event in our country, but it has worked so well from the first minute that I just had to try...And it works - i'm able to make the 5. after quali and the 7. after shotout in final.

the most important is the slightly elevated Skidplatte but in practice some brint. You can go low and still has the ground clearance that you sometimes can not compensate by technology.

Inside the rig are:
micro sidewinder
team brood KR 30t motors - team edition
NCD - nuckle weight system
homemade titanaxle made from a friend in the rear
hitec 7950
Homemade Carbon gearplates made from a friend
Homemade lightweight hubs made from a friend

now i'm still looking forward for some new wheels from Nordic Crawler Design and 500 Pullerīs from Mr. Holmes

Some pics from the Supercrawl 2013

...hope you like...if you want to now anything ask me...

Stephan

Hi Stephan.

What rear shocks are you running? It looks similar to SCX10 but the shock caps are different...

Cool collection of pics. Chassis looks like shes workin well for ya.

x2 on the shock caps. Im assuming the same cat that made your axles maybe turned out some nice aluminum caps for the SCX bodies?

@curcal
It's SDS 300 HD's with 70 degree

@rofu
Hi Team Sweden - that's the EGRESSor houses - they are dry and not licking like the SCX dampers

@HARDKNOCKZ
Thx and nice that you like. Yes the chassie works great for me.The caps are from cheap set of dampers. A friend of Mine modified them for me, but i don't know the Name now - i can't remember. If you want to know I will ask him for you.

I have these cap on the damper to compensate the mass. Otherwise he would not be very steep rear mounted high enough or the dampers have to stand precipitously, but i don't like these.

The cheap shocks

I'm curios to see how well the three post point mounting will hold up, I've seen four but not three. Also curious how it effects your foams!

you mustīt wonder about the three spacer. A lot of my friends and myself use the three spacer system since half to one year or longer and there is no differenz to feel to 4, 5 or 6 and no effect to the foams as well. Bevor i used this system i thought the same like you think now, but nothing happens...only lighter...

But iīm curios by myself about the 1.5mm slices at the rear...if they will brake i have to change to the 2.0. thatīs the reason why i ordered 2 slices of 2.0 extra from tomy.

1.5mm is ok for Wheels.... i run 1/16" for over 2 years on my , and for 1 Year on my Superclass.....

I think in the German Crawl spots there is no Problem with a 3 Bar, but in the high mountains and in some of the US Spots i know, they won't hold up longtime after a tumble down ..... a tumble down can also kill VP wheels.... remember Vegas 2011......

i`m at 20g with a 5bar wheel 3 piece designe and VP 475 hub mounted on with all screws and i think i can loose another 1-2 g on each wheel with my new standoffs

perhaps here you could buy. Write a e-mail to the company and ask how much to order for shipping to USA. Perhaps you will have luck, but normally he only sent to europe. But try...
Perhaps you need ceramic ball beaarings also, because he is specialized in bearings and the cheapest one i know, two(in europe and perhaps in the world).

the webside is: www.rcbay.de

Your rig look extremely light and well balanced when you jump around in the afterworkvideo
What is your weight RTR?

BTW, I found a Reptile in the Crawlerkeller candy store at Supercrawl. Hope to finish it soon

very good choice, Team Sweden..the higher and shorter skidplate is really good. In the video iīm not able to drive five of the scenes with my old rig...with the Reptile now itīs possible...little differenz, but maximum effect

istīs not really extremely light, but good balanced for my drivingstyle. In the video i drove:

1688 g
+110 g for both side nuckleweights
+44 g Aku
=1842g

with the new NCD-Wheels itīs
1810 g RTR

...but today i got some thing to go to the next level and about 90-100g will falling down
