| Slowrockr's anorexic double agent
Time for a new comp rig. I was super happy with how my Secret Agent performed and can't wait to see how the new Double Agent performs. My SA I was a tad on the heavy side at 3lb 7oz with weight, I'm going to try to slim down and try to get closer to the 3lb 3oz range. I was so excited I didn't take the mandatory still in the package pic but it's much more impressive put together. Using Krawlfreak's measurements I busted out the Ti and Aluminum rod and whipped out some links, not sure I completely like my bends but I'll see how it works out before I change them.

Smashed my mamba micros and bec a little different this time to better fit on the Rowdy electronics plate. Both esc's, bec, and decased receiver weigh 40g, they'll do for now till I can get my hands on some of Holmes's mini esc's.

I'd replace that heavy heat shrink tubing with Sub-C clear heat shrink... You'd lose 2-3 grams easy. |

I've used this stuff for awhile and haven't had any heat issues, it might be a gram on the heavier side but I haven't been able to source anything better locally yet. Course I haven't looked real hard since this stuff is readily available at work. I still have to order more alum hardware for the chassis, entire chassis is still steel hardware, and few more sizes for the axles but rtr with weight I'm sitting 3lb 6oz. My next big weight drop will be motors, I'm using HH 35t's that I lightened on the lathe at work. Not sure how much it actually dropped by turning them down, forgot to do before and after weights, but I know Holmes has some voodoo in the works I can't wait to get my hands on. Should drop me a few oz quick and easy like. I've yet to do much shock tuning since I'm waiting on an end mill to finish my custom delrin shocks but all I've done is limit internally my scx shocks .500". Casey has been working up near me so we hit Horsetooth lake after work one night, for a fresh build with no tuning yet I'm pretty impressed. Few lines I had to work at to make with the SA the DA made it look easy. I was really close to narrowing up my Secret Agent skid and after crawling with Casey I may try it with the Double Agent. |

I guess I'm not that cool, slowrockr pulled my cool ledge hanger line. Some more shock tuning and I think you'll have her dialed in. |

Agreed, my end mill will be here this week and hopefully I have time to finish up making my shocks. Can't wait to see how smooth machined pistons and delrin bodies are. As you can see I decided to narrow up my chassis, I'll update when I get to the home pc.

So here's where I ended up on the chassis. I wasn't sure the thin carbon side panel would flex without getting screwed up but it took it in stride and has been holding up fine.

Main side plates are at 1" wide, roof is 1 5/8" wide and to meet the width rule....

As it sits today. I threw on some of the plastic slw pin drive hubs which let me drop the weight of the 4 hex's. Next on the list is shortening the servo wires and new motor and esc goodness.
