Default Switch Smash Build

Well i figured i should put up a thread as best that i can. I started off with the Mantis for my chassis, Xr10 Kit of course and some VP Bling and things i wanted on it. Got all done with it and tried running it and was not happy with the way it felt. Just could not get what i wanted out of it. The High clearance was great but overall just felt limited torsion rig. So now i am in the process of a few minor bearing replacing and motor plates changed to the over sized VP version. then onto the assembly to get me to roller status. For electronics i have the Dual Tekin FXR, Castle BEC, Tekin 7955 Titanium. Motors are HH 45 crawl master pro's. I will have to obviously rethink the footprint for the Speed controllers due to very limited space. Have seen others that have smashed and removed the on off switch to reduce the size of space needed. Looking into that still unsure if i want to do that or not. Well now that i have started this thread i will continue to add to it as i go along. I had also got my WMD custom panels Big thanks they do great work! Should have some more pics to post later i plan to buckle down and get some work done on it this weekend.

Welcome to the chaotic family..

For the fxr's smashed, the best thing I found was for them on a RR motor mount/electronics tray and back to back. Stacked worked for the Switch but not so well on the SMASH..

Which leaves just enough room under full compression for everything to clear.. with a single 4s cap..

Thanks I was hopeing someone would mentiin about the electronics. I like the way yours is set up and clearance was a major concern in the cases.

Thanks for the measurement.. I think most guys are running around the 3" mark (give or take a bit) but try running it where you have it and see how it works for you.

He has done excellent job packaging up what I had made me a delrin electronics plate to boot. hey, just wondering what size big bores you have and if you have them internally limited? I have the same setup and mine sits a bit higher than yours.

Digging the electronics plate. Any more pics of it? I want to move my electronics up front. I've heard Rowdy is hard to get a hold of, but I haven't tried to contact him. I need to at least try though.
