| Dlux fab xr10 build
Just got a Dlux CF chassis with Dlux links, Dlux front knuckle/weights, and got a super sick set of 3.5 big bores lathed down plus cap mods. Have to say that Erik is the man, very professional, and willing to answer any and all the noob questions I asked him... bravo Erik, bravo!

Lathed big bores with mini t springs and cap mods. All from DLux fab and I have to say... holy moldy they are sick. Not running these inverted for two reasons. 1). I feel that shocks perform better when ran the way they are intended 2). Theres really no weight to the shock body once they've been Dluxified ... ill be ordering more of these Erik, nice work!.

Hey diesel, can you elaborate on that shock mod? And maybe a closer pic, never heard of any mods to big bores other than caps. Thanks in advance |

@ postclanker.... the shocks are big bore. Theres an option on Dlux's site when you order the chassis you see here to add 4 or 3.5 inch big bores; the option also allows you to add the "cap mod" and/or the "lathed" option. I got both. The lathed option is just that, Erik(dlux) takes the shocks and lathes the shock body down to reduce weight and to perfectly fit mini-t springs.

Ready to start the axle installation. These axles are used and have been passed around my crawler community more than a spliff at phish concert. The silver bad blue is Vanquish of course. Internals are rc4wd harden gears. Won't be using the vanquish steering knuckles as I went with Dlux's steering knuckle and weight all in one design. I'm going to grind down the stock axle cases to get rid of the unnecessary plastic and long rear axle bolt. I'm doing this so I can do the "the 2 screw mod" on the axles to fix the design flaw that leaves the proximal connection points lacking proper and equal pressure on the big center axle bearings. Lets get started shall we

Nice! Didnt know you were doing a build thread on here. Looks like youre new to the site too! Welcome! Looks good so far. Typically I put my shocks inside the chassis at the rear. Either works though. |

So you eliminate the long bolt of 'rear axle? I would too 'me knuckles with weights but do not know how they are to be mounted on axles with vvd vanquish2 xr, xr and C as the bearings should be ... by the way, what it refers OFNA?
