D-lux rim + vp hub 850 + C.I. foam = 137gr.
D-lux rim + vp hub 725 + RCMAD4X4X4 foam = 127gr.
I would say that the difference is minimal, the 'interesting is you can customize the wheel based on the weight of the crawler ...

what do you think off the hitec 8380 servo??
I got on with a set off dlux superlites I bought used from a member here on rcc..
dont know yet if I want to change to my other 7950???
is it as good as the 7950?? in tourqe it is the same and also in speed for 0-60* in 0.13sek..
the only difference I can tell is that the 7950 is programable with a HPP-21 or 22...

Floki hello, my advice is to choose a 9380, silent, consumes little power (which I extend the life of the batteries ...) and after a 'time-intensive stays cool to the touch (the' 8380 every 15-20min . needs a break to cool down)
hello desertrob, routinely use 40gr. to 'front (do not feel the need for more weight)

this is an old picture,,
and I have not mounted on the vp-tops and linkmounts yet because I am waiting for some new boca bearings for vanquish xr10...
the old bearings have seen better days I can promise you,,the one bearing inside the plastic stock linkmount in the front was completly destroyed when I did take the gearhouse and motor off,,he he he..
