I ordered some smaller batteries. Does anyone make a way for the battery to fit inside of the front 4-link?

I made some cool chassis plates. I'm happy how they look. I need some lexan sheet which I ordered. I will find the lexan I have the day I receive it.

ROWDY RACING offers a motor mounted plate you could fit your battery too.

Yeah I saw that. I like the idea of it suspended between the links tho.

With the battery suspended between your links it will cause binding when you flex. The slightest bit of drag on your links or rod ends will cause your truck to mis-behave when you're crawling... I would recommend an axle mount or motor mount.

good job man, the panels looks good, I like the burnt effect!

instead of the battery, for the reasons already mentioned by sourdojack I think the best solution is to place it on axle

Here are some more pics. I got some smaller batteries and have just been mounting them in the chassis. I'm not good enough for it to matter yet.

I heatshrank the rx. It actually lost 1/3 of its weight.

Finalized the body panels and put the prints under .040 lexan.

Man this thing is powerful. I've been having fun and I finally got something to break. The servo stopped working and I can show you when...

I took a look at the electronics and it looks like I cracked the solder joint on the front esc B-. I soldered it back together and now the CC BEC is blinking every 3 seconds. Any thoughts?

Unhappy Re: Joywrex's SecondHand Champ XR10

The bec blinked every three seconds... now no light and it theres no volts going to the servo. Everything is wired correctly, the servo works in another rig and the escs work normally. Think the bec is dead?

From the video it looks like it's a bit to hi...
And you should be more patient with the "happy" finger... ;)

Try and replace the BEC, it's cheap enough to start troubleshooting.

I replaced the bec and I'm back in action.

I also added VP servo armor.

There also is a diy slash course nearby.

This is a pretty sweet truck though! I would recommend putting some SCX10 shocks on it to lower the ride height, and you should be in business!
This truck has seen little use since I bought it from Double D. Probably 20 packs total. It's built by Tom Havel. It won second place in Nationals. It has too many upgrades to list. Basically, all of them. So much rare Vanquish Products on this.
$650 shipped. CONUS only.

Any interest?
