Good point right there MR. CCC! :lmao:

Time for update.

After I heard, that the next batch of ESC's will take time to arrive from Holmes Hobbies, I decided to tare apart my own electronics from the bully. This way Sofi could have her first comp in this year. "thumbsup" So, it was time for preparations.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1044.JPG
Old trusted servo from my ex-mini crawler. Futaba BLS157HV. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1045.JPG
I also bent the roof panel and now it looks really mean! :flipoff:

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1047.JPG
Stubbies, micro sidewinders and CC Bec ready to jump on XR-10.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1048.JPG
Steering in place.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1049.JPG
And it steers! :lmao: I also gave my E.Y. Designs narrowed Voodoos to Sofi's rig. Dlux wheels and those tires are perfect match for the rig. 8)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1050.JPG
Rear motor attached.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1051.JPG
Overall look before attaching rest of electronics. ;-)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1052.JPG
Overall RTR weight is impressive as well!

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1053.JPG
Electronics are finding their place.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1054.JPG
Pretty cool this thing.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1056.JPG
Electronics are on the place. Even the battery is perfect match for the colours of this thing! :flipoff:

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1057.JPG
Mutt gives you a decent amount of ground clearance as well.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1060.JPG
I have to say, that Michelle did amazing job with the skins. Again! "thumbsup"

Then it was time for the comp. The last one in our season 2014. Fence Puzzle! 8)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1010991.JPG
Sofi did not have a clue, that her rig would be in action already there. It was great to see her face, when she saw the finished product. 8) Priceless. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1010994.JPG
Time to get the party started! :)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011030.JPG
On the line for the course!

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011357.JPG
Nervous?

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011369.JPG
First gate - cleared!

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011047.JPG
The ride looked really good!

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011381.JPG
Going for the difficult gate four. 8)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011403.JPG
Rig was working flawless through the comp. Nothing broke and Sofi did few amazing performances! "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/P1011081.JPG
There was only one thing, which I found out that needs changing. That's the caster angle. In my opinion it had way too much positive caster. But that's about all, that I would change of it so far. "thumbsup"

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/ySST9E6LKn8?feature=player_detailpage" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
Here video from the second course, where Sofi only took two reverses! She decided not to go for the bonuses, but just go on the finish line. Wise descision. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/TULOKSET/Crawling...20TULOKSET.jpg
Here are the results! "thumbsup" Third position with a brand new rig. That's the spirit! 8)

After the comp, I went to garage to "fix" the only problem it had with the caster angle.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1074.JPG
One step back. :lmao:

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1076.JPG
It still steers pretty well.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1077.JPG
I think this is going to improve the steering quite a bit at least in Finland. "thumbsup"

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1078.JPG
Now we'll just have to test it, when we have a suitable weather to do that. It's getting colder here day by day. Next comp will be on January and the tuning will start from there. At least it's good, that Sofi has now driven a few gates with this before the new season. "thumbsup"

We'll continue on working.

Hi!

Here's straigh copy of my bully 2 thread:

I wanted to go with someting little wider in front and narrow in rear. Narrow Voodoos to the front axle with 0.87" wheels in it. And ultra narrow Voodoos to the rear with 0.72" wide wheel.

So, first comp behind. I have to say that I was completely surprised when Samu brought my car with his electronics on it. It was a really nice surprise so thanks bro! :) Driving with smurfette was kind of easy thanks to my chassis CCC Mutt which is by the way brilliant! It is hard to describe how good it feels to drive with that car. I think that word smooth could gave you the best description. Everything works amazingly! Still it is hard to use all the buttons which I have never used because I've been driving shafty class. So my driving is kind of slow. My first comp went well. Still, I've got pretty good drivers to challenge me but I think that is a good thing! It's good to have some challenge :) Smurfette rocks! Still, looking forward to the next season! My brother is spending a lot time with that car but I think he has to step aside because I want to repair my rig all by myself, of course ;) So, now it's time for training for the next season.

I thought I saw you using the mt4 in the video .. It took me a long time to get used to the buttons and then I switched to the thumb lever .. It's almost effortless and natural just sliding your thumb up and down for dig and burn and the little beep in the center of the lever lets you know when you're exactly 50/50 ... You can focus more on the rig that way instead of what buttons you're hitting ... Keep your step aux at increments of 10 so the lever is smooth and you can cruise through the courses [emoji106]

Finally got myself back to the garage and doin some work. :)

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1165.JPG
After checking out all screws and bearings in the axles and chassis, the electric works needed to be started.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1166.JPG
"Koppensneller's" old electronics will head down into this rig. I gotta clean those wires a bit.

http://paron.pp.fi/ZT%20Mekkausmekka...4/IMG_1167.JPG

Why do you cut and solder all of those connections? Why not pick up some crimpers and the terminals to make it much easier and cleaner?
