Default Rough Worth

Mornin folks,

So in my "gotta have 1" mental breakdown I ended up getting an unrun, completely bone stock XR that was already built in a trade. Aside from painting the body I have done nothing to this rig (No electronics or other "stock" mods have been performed). After some good consideration I have no intentions of driving this or even really getting into comp crawling at all.

So whats it worth? I want to get a rough idea for price as I want to sell it or possible trade value for scale stuff. I went on ebay a few times trying to find any unbuilt kits or bone stock rigs and neither exists. Kits are impossible to locate and the only XR's I see are all heavily modified.

Thanx for any feedback or suggestions on pricing

I'd say between $150-200. You can get a heavily modded one used for $450-700. It takes at least $75 to a $100 to make a stock one survive normal free crawling. Not including the fact you need to buy motors, servo, rxtx, and tires.

Good luck on the sale!

I paid somewhere between $250-$300 for a built-but-unused, in the box XR. Only difference being the previous owners had managed not to paint the body.

Once you painted the body, unless the next owner likes your paint job, it's not unreasonable to be asked to either provide a clear body, or discount the rig the cost for the new owner to replace the body themselves.

So, yeah, I'm sure you were hoping for more, but the numbers previously suggested may be all your rig winds up bringing in, sorry.
