So I run a mantis at 5.5pounds and everyone says you gotta go light... 4lbs... So I lighten the mantis and it.......... sucks so back to 5.5 The mantis breaks her tail and I finally build a legit 4 pounder and now this and not only are you building a 3 pounder but your building it with only your pointer finger and wrist control |

So after trimming my shift hubs a bit to hide them behind the tiny spokes of the wheels .... And removing some knuckle weight I'm at 3.16 pounds ... Didn't have a battery handy but I'm sure Troy can weigh one for me or you can wait till I'm out of work .... It can't weigh too much I guess .... I'm estimating with the battery I'm at 3.24 give or take a few tenths ... Respectable but I have a new set of gears on the way to mill out while I break this thing in see how it does with the set up Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Last edited by Purptr8r; 04-01-2015 at 12:11 AM. |

Very cool build, you could lose more weight if you put a front housing in the rear. |

But then I'd have to get different axle shafts and ditch the one piece unit ... Which would essentially make me heavier than the few grams of plastic between the housings .. If I wasn't using the rear " shaft" that I am I would definitely swap casings Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk | |

more and more beautiful, in recent times, with my friends, we are trying to run with a twist limited (when the path includes a lot of doors and time is limited ...). I like where you placed the BEC but, are not you afraid that affected the heat released by the servo?
