| Worth buying this XR-10?
I've been looking at this crawler for some time now but am in doubt if it's value for money. The guy is asking for about USD335 - maybe I can get the price down a bit. What do you guys think? worth it? See the link furthest below to see the actual ad. Cheers. if you are wanting good low speed control then the brushless motors will not be best everything else looks ok pretty much stock. so two motors and either one or two escs will add to the cost depending on the quality. min 80.00 dollars max about 350.00 - 400.00 dollars the Australian xr10 has 2 10.00 motors but no esc(s) or servos only glue-on wheels but you do get 3 chassis. will still have to add at least 200.00 to make it run good. more if you do not transmitter/receiver of your own Last edited by cabron; 04-28-2015 at 06:39 AM. |

Run away from it like the plague...you'd be spending money on parts that we all know you won't end up enjoying.

Second that. Buy a Berg (DLux, stock, RCBros, CCC, etc) or Bully based rig.

Dustbunny.. Save your self the money.. Grab a star, of you don't have one, and you can pick up a comp ready XR for around 600$. Give or take 100$.. Neither of those rigs are worth half the money they are asking for them. IMO... |

Thanks for the replies. Getting parts rather locally (within the EU) is a must. Also, I'm not a pro-crawler, just backyard driving so it seems the Bergs etc are overkill for my needs. Based on your replies, it appears the car is fine, price-wise. |
