Default My Dominator.

Decided to retire my DD XR10,-so what chassis to get,-several great looking and handling ones on the market today......
But since I have a great Sucker Punch shafty already,-and the nice Dominator back in the game again,-the choice was given,-5th Dimension

Chris (cboggs) was very kind and offered me a "pre-release" chassis,-thanks !

Really like the look and stance of The Dominator :

New delrin upper link mount :

New chubs and knuckles :

Went for the scale version of the Vanquish chub,-I like the clamping style as an extra safety with the plastic axle :

Dlux lower links :

Great choice of chassis, I like the cross brace in the rear that is machined to clear the upper rear links. I've ran/beat my 5th Dimension Dominator chassis for over year & it's holding up great.

Some early mock-up pictures,-just to get a feeling of links, shocks,wb and stance. Shocks for testing,-are Trackstars with cap mod,Losi springs and Dlux No Preload Cups. Upper links for now,are some Lunsfords I had on the shelf :

Nice looking rig and build I like the idea to use the clamping chups scaleversion with XR10 axles. What kind of weight system you thought about to use?

Thanks Stephan!

I'm very excited about this rig

I will be using the same weight setup as my shafty,-delrin holders with tungsten slugs,-like this :

I feel like I maybe should have the chassis a little bit more forward....

Any opinions,- especially from other Dominator drivers are highly appreciated

I was thinking that when I first saw this shot but thought that you liked it that way.

I can get you the link eye to eyes later when I get home for mine, Im running front lowers roughly 120mm eye to eye from what I remember. My front shocks are 3rd hole back and rears are one hole back both on roughly the same angle as you if that helps too.

Also skid opposite and rolled up front. I can fit Krazed Builds and Rowdy mounts in with clearance. Leaves the rear to be a little extra tongue keeping junk out of the trunk lol.

Moved the chassis about 5mm forward and adjusted the wb to maximum legal length,-it was a little bit short before
