| Cjsmith's Chassis Flip to Sudo Pro for 2016 Season
I like starting new projects before finishing old projects, so here goes my next one. I won a Dravtech Sudo Pro chassis last year at the Northeast National Championship held by the Eastern Pa Rc Crawlers. Figure it is time to give it a shot. I am switching to the Sudo pro from a secret agent. Chassis completely disconnected from the axles. Now just have to get the electronics out. They are all hard wired with no easy connections so I plan to take the top of the cab off and then I will slip the electronics out the top and then into the new chassis. |

Chassis and axles are apart. Found a few solders I need to fix while it is all pulled apart. Going to fix those before adding the new chassis. Last edited by cjsmith4; 03-23-2016 at 07:47 AM. |

Thank you to the folks at DravTech for creating and providing such an awesome chassis. This was quite a win for a raffle at a comp. I started by tracing the side plates on paper so I can attempt to make my own panels that will match my sporty whenever that gets completed. |

Decided to switch out the aluminum screws with red anodized screws I had laying around that fit the theme since we all know sticking to the theme is important. I had enough of the 8mm screws to swap in the red ones. I found the 16mm screws online at fastener express so I'll order them. I can't find the M3 X 20mm or the M3 X 25mm anodized screws online anywhere. Anybody know where I can find these longer lengths in red?? |

Got the rest of the rod ends I needed to complete this chassis flip. I haven't tested the electronics to make sure they work yet because they worked before I switched them over so I'm hoping they still work now that the chassis is complete. Also got to measuring and made some templates for the body panels. I traced the side panels before out them on the chassis. This will be roof and hood. |

The sudo ran awesome today in its first outing. Pulled a second behind Winner123 at one of the toughest comp spots we have. Still a few minor things to work out like weights but I was super happy with the results. Somehow, it didn't even end up on its lid today. |

I was really happy with how the sudo performed this weekend at the New England Monster Showdown. Came in 15th out of a very talented pool of drivers even after a big DNF due to a loose grub screw on the motor pinion. |

I finally got a full season in on this rig and it was a great one! Pulled out a second in our last comp of the season at St. Peter's and a third for the whole season behind JSlick and Troy. Thanks for a great season EPA Rc Crawlers.
