Sun was shining all day.
My driving in the morning was good.
Here is run from the course 5.

Course 5 was wery fun and i got the best score in that.
After the midday brake not so good driving...
Still 3rd in the nordics!!

Good stuff man. I hope you can upgrade your level back where it was in the qualification of the Nordic finals. Then you are serious threat to top three in Finland!

Time to update this topic...
Now i have driven 7 comps with this car. 8 total comps in my crawling career.
My driving is improving in every comp. Lot's of errors and mistakes still.
If i have the same time to train and go comps i hope in couple of years i can challenge constantly the top drivers in finland/world.

4 Finnish series comps behind now. The 5th and the last for this season is next weekend. I'm very happy for my standing now.
I hope it stays that way

I had time to go two Rfot Crawl cup comps.
In first comp 7.5.2016 Vantaa i was 7th of 8.
In second comp in 30.7.2016 Pirkkala i was second out of ten.
Couple pictures from the Pirkkala comp.

Very happy men after fun day driving and challengin our cars
Samu was in league of him self

Hmmm... Nice box found in the post office!
New wheels and foams...

And of course i need new shoes to go with new foams and wheels.

Narrowed Voodoo golds front and rear.
Foams are.
CI Comp cut 6.0 soft in the front
CI Comp cut 5.5 Med in the rear.
And to go with the coloring scheme i got 3d printed hubs.

And 3D printed motor covers for test. Got the 3d model from David Chan.
It weights 3,3g. Printed in PLA.

Ok. First i vented the wheels very easy with the drill.
There is hole places molded ready.

And of course i had to place them on the scale

Everything assembled.

With the Ci Wheels i was enable to lower the the weight.
I like those Y town weight holders. Easy to modify

And of course had to check how much weight i have in the front.

Original setup with the old wheels.

And now sitting way lower

Still room to roll freely

Hopefully i have time to test the new setup before saturdays comp.
I hope i can hold my 4th place in Finnish Series.

I agree that rig works extremely well! I got yourself a great rig to start out with. It would be even nicer if it had that custom rear diff I know he went home with 2 years ago...

I read the build page when i bought this rig.
I hoped something different in the rear
I don't mind that there is "normal" rear
Future shows where this car & driver evolves.
Winners of course!

We got some Y-town goodies in finland. Here is video from manus old Super!
Now owned by my team mate Arttu. He is crazy and giving me to drive with it Hopefully i have enough money to build/buy super for next season.

Thanks to Dravtech (Dravpnir) for the video

Story continues

3 comps + something to update

Let's start from Finnish Nationals series comp 5/5 Rauma

U can see that not so good day for me... I didn't have any confidence that day.
No pics from the comp.
It was really thight fight for the championship
Samu & Laalaa was equal points before last comp
And the winner...

Congratulations to Samu for winning Finnish national champion ship!!

Becouse the last comp bad driving i felldown 1 spot. 5th place still

Then the last RFOT Crawl Cup 6/6 Lappeenranta comp.

1 course was a disappointment. Time out
Not so many people driving. That don't matter. Good training for france
And planting the crawling seed to my friend
He drove my 2.2m & 2.2S

Seed planted

Now it was time to look that the car was ready for France worlds

Filled the shocks with 50wt oil. Before 30wt oil.

Now the suspension feels much nicer... By hand
I had problem with the shock spring cups. Springs would wonder off from them. So Quick 3d modeling and 1 day before leaving to france.

1st beta spring cups. not so pretty finish on the print no time to adjust just quick print and go.

Looks ok in the car. Need little tuning on the size...

Changed some rod ends.

Quick look to the gearbox...
Now the car is ready to fly to France

Drizzt Do'Urden & Rainbow Dash first time on the comp site.

France worlds over. Huh what an event! Big thanks to organizers.
U guys made amazing work
Beer, pizza & food service on the beach
Short walk to comp site from the comp village. Under 10min
Restaurant dinner in the evening was nice. Good food and good company.
Comp village offered brilliant place for meeting other ppl in crawling.
Weather was wat it was...
Weather on friday (1.9 / Super)
Weather on saturday (2.2M)
Weather on sunday (2.2M Finals / 2.2S)
That don't matter. So much fun!!!

Modified day we had very good weather.
My driving didn't go so good. So much to learn how to drive on grippy rocks. I'm happy for the result
26/76

I was fortune to meet Del Monte & Del Montess in France. (Owners of Y-town) And maybe he had something extra with him
Again hand in the pocket...

Glad to see your staying with a Y town chassis!! The DA 2.0 is an awesome chassis, I know I am loving mine!!! I was fortunate enough to meet Jake back in May and he gave me some set up tips for my 2.0 that made a huge difference.

Started to change the chassis.

rear axle was realy fast to take off.
I have these 2mm plugs on the motor wires.
6 screws and 2 plugs and off we go

Couple pics from the old chassis. I really like the look of the old chassis...

New Y-town Double Agent 2.0 chassis assembled. Looking good
Need to get some new aluminium screws & nuts.
Of course the list of things i need is much bigger
rear axle, white skidplate... and the list goes on

Old links worked nicely with the new chassis.
Of course it's not straight assembly.
I have to tinker with shocks and links position and maybe change some rod ends. Future shows what i have to do to get this work like the old car.

When i saw Del Montes & Un-bolts chassis in the worlds i got idea...
How to make the car look more to my liking.
Double agent & Double agent 2.0 united

I will change the roof braces to slimmer versions from the old chassis.
I have grind them little shorter to fit.

I will change the front and rear delrin wideners to 3d printed versions...
This was the first version. I will make it little different version when i have time.

I need new outside carbon plates. The old chassis plates works this far...
Link holes in the old chassis are about 0,5mm lover than the new chassis.
And need little trimming. Something like in the pic drawn.
Hopefully Y-town will make me new plates.

Good pics to show how the same side plate sits in the new and old chassis.

Ofcourse the chassis weight will go up with outside skid so it would be fun to get new inner plates. Here is my idea for weight loss

See u again in the next episode

Love the name - been reading R.A. Salvatore's stuff for 20 years or so. Looks like the crawler is almost as badass as Drizzt!
