xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

Ok guys and gals I recently got a Dlux bounty hunter chassis for my xr10 with Dlux links needing an idea on set up, have looked around for a proper setup since I just have normal HH motors and stick out a bit more but kind of lost as far as setting up. Plan on doing a full rebuild and will more than likely end up doing a full build thread from here on what gets done so far setting up an order for new bearings and can covers, also need to get some other things such as colored nuts and bolts looked at rpp but with no luck. Anyways hope to hear some ideas also need to find higher upper link mounts if anyone has any thoughts thanks!

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

My best advice fox is to look for a build thread with a bounty hunter in it to use as a guide line. Fast Eddy makes a good set of bearings..sometimes eBay is the best way to find colored hardware..maybe someone will no more on that......p.m. Nerb149...he can make any link or talk to Erik at Dlux as he probably makes links for his rig... Congrats and good luck on the builds bro!!!

Colored hardware is the least of your worries.

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

Well curcal I have everything else, bearings aren't a worry and I already have a chassis and matching Dlux links. So far the setup is fxr esc with rocker dig 2 unit (probably go dual esc once I have more funds, dual 35t HH motors, HH SHV500 servo so no need for bec but still have a spare one, tires and wheels I have a couple sets up rc4wd bully tires and an old school set of rock claws. But I was just looking for hardware so I could replace as I went, but other than that it was running before I disassembled so don't really have any worries.

Upper link mounts may be hard to find. RCMart may still have some fronts, but rears you'll have to settle for CF...try Robbob on here.
I get my colored alum hardware from Fastener Express, (cheaper shipping to Canada) but I'm sure McMaster Carr has the same.
Holmes Puller 400's are are a perfect fit for the XR.

yea i looked at the vanquish but wasn't sure and a rear is all but impossible to find, and thanks solitaire for the suggestions. Tapped out are you saying those mounts won't work on it?

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

No not saying anything. Read you wanted xr10 upper link mounts and a friend bought the above VP link mount a few weeks ago.

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

O yea I was thinking bout buying it but didn't know if I'd need both front and rear to match height or if that even mattered

Fox, if you can't find the VP front/rear aluminum link mounts, check these out from Krazed Builds: http://www.krazedbuilds.com/xcart/xr...nk-mounts.html

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

I looked at those also my xr10 when purchased used already had a aftermarket front and rear upper link mount it's just not tall enough and don't know if the ones from Kramer will fit on the mounts I have now I'll have to upload some pictures of it tmro to give a better idea of what I'm running into

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

I'd go VP front, and Krazed rear.

VP up front because the servo mount is part of the upper link mount.

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

Ok yea that makes sense and I think or hope go has that part still and have to see if the crazed would fit on back because the mount it had on there when I got it is different than stock

Re: xr10 with Dlux bounty hunter chassis

Those are Hot Racing mounts, just aluminum clones of stock.

You have a front axle mod done to the rear and the original owner just ground off the servo mount.

Our mounts will bolt on to allow you adjustments to the link heights. Youll have to put spacers in to take up the space between them and the outside posts.
