Default Sudu Mod 3d

Just wondering if anyone out there is running the Sudu Mod 3d on their XR axles and how it's been working out for them, been eyeballing this chassis for a while now but haven't seen any build threads yet. was thinking bout getting a new bully 2 kit and letting my son have the chassis for his XR10 and then ordering the Mod 3d chassis, but iv'e still got a good set of XR10 axles i'm not using, which are lighter, so figured i'd skip over the bully 2 axles for now and just set it up on XR10 axles. Any info would be nice.

So far I only know one who has done it in Finland. Seems to be working just as well as with the Bullies. You should be just fine with it.

Once you do some weigth removal from the bully2 diffs you can get them very close to the weight of the XR diffs. A couple simple mods is to drill the tubes out, add alum screws and your just about there

I got my new Sudo 3D sitting in the bag waiting to build. Took the XR out for the last run as a stock XR and heard a funny popping sound in the rear end. Pulled it apart and broke the 22T gear. I am on the hunt for that gear now but not having much luck.
Keep us posted when you get yours and how the change over goes.

Anyone have any link lengths (eye to eye) for this chassis on xr10 axles, seem to be having problem getting them.

Front lower 128mm, rear lower 157mm. Not probably 100% accurate but that`s the lenghts I`m making them

my last set that Dlux sent me are:
front lowers - 120mm
rear lowers - 149mm
front uppers - 110mm
rear uppers - 146mm

with this i'm at 11 7/8" wheelbase, i'm runnin' 91mm scx10 shocks and the front links are so short that i can't get ride height low enough and my Barry's rc carbon electronic mount is hitting the front lower links. and then my caster is level instead of tilted back and my servo tilted way forward indicates the front lowers are too short. i'm at 5 1/4" center of skid to center front axle and 6 5/8" center skid to center of rear axle which means i'm roughly 1 3/8" forward bias with the chassis.

Unhook your uppers front and rear at the axle. Then check your wheel base.

The combo of long uppers and short lowers can mess with caster and servo angle. Just gotta figure out which is wrong.

Take the springs and the esc plate off too when you do the upper links, compress your shocks so they are down as far as they will go. Set the belly on something so the wheelbase is at 12.5 and check your upper links.

If possible I would lengthen then front lowers to help clear the esc plate, or make a shorter one.

If those are Dlux links for Sudu pro for XR10 then swap one link ends (ie chassis side for both F/R) to the longer trx link ends (jato) and you are set

thanks for the responses guys, Dlux is working on it as we speak. while waiting last night i used some ready rod and rough bent some rear lowers and set it up with 157 rear and 128 front and with no shocks and uppers it was at 12 7/8". so i left the front at 128 and went back to the same lengths on all the others that Dlux sent me and now sitting perfectly at 12 1/2" wheelbase. so i think all the links Dlux sent me except the front lowers is what i need and then change the front lower from 120mm to 128mm and should be good. ( pic #1 ) and kinda mocked up the same style bends on the rear lowers. Pic 2 showing 1 3/4" compressed ride height, pic 3 showing bout 3 1/2" full droop, pic 4 showing bout 3" running ride height. pic 5 showing wheelbase at just barely under 12 1/2". pic 6 showing chassis bias between axles. also have plenty room now for my electronics mount.
