Dravtech Sudu Mod 3d xr10

Finally got around to getting some access around here [emoji57] Hoping to start off a nice thread covering my Sudu Mod 3d xr10, the bling kinda just fell into place as things came available for sale online. I'm not to much into color so what I have here I think will be plenty (if not to much) as far as color matching. The only parts I have so far are the axles and chassis but, the axles came with stock gears and some Vanquish goods. Including Vanquish VVD's, which will be a first for me. I've missed my xr since recently switching to Berg, so I'm glad I'll now have both. So heres the plan

Dravtech Sudu Mod 3d chassis, still new.

Axial Racing xr10 axles/vp nonsense all new.
Hot Racing hardened/lightened gears

Home made 4mm ti links/revo rod ends

I'll leave it there for now, still waiting on some fancy tools and materials. Plus I haven't really decided what other parts and electronics I'll be going with just yet. As of now this is what we have to work with, I'm also building a loaner sporty and a super eggroll, so this rig isn't my first priority. The super Eggroll will get it's own thread [emoji106]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...c85b85c108.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...a17bd1efd5.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...484fe9a40c.jpghttps://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...db12f23def.jpg

No titanium yet but, I did get my sweet new rod bender that will allow me to bend two links at a time. Should work much better than using a vice. This came recommended to me by Tom Foolery a while ago, finally stopped beating around the bush and ordered it. Hopefully this paired with a Convict Jig will save us some time. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...7e0493c158.jpg

Welcome! Nice to see another XR10 still out there. What rod bender is that?

It's just a cheap Ebay one, I just googled rod bender and searched through a few this style until I found the cheapest one. It was only $55usd shipped and got to me in 5 days [emoji16] I regret selling my xr last year but there is still quite a few kickin around, I'm glad to have one back!

Re: Dravtech Sudu Mod 3d xr10

I've been struggling to get these links made up and I'm not sure why. I'm not sure how many links I've made on my own but, I do know that when I recently built an xr10 for a friend using 4mm rod with a 4mmx0.7 die, that it was by far the easiest link job I had ever done. Everything went so smooth and the threads for his links were really course, especially for how easy it was to thread them. So I decided to use 4mm for all my future rigs and swap the 5mm off my current rigs, unfortunately the titanium has other plans. I've tried everything in the book to get these rods threaded and I was able to get the lowers made, I'm just not comfortable relying on what little thread is there. So I'll be going with 3/16" 7075 aluminum instead, which I've been told is really strong and really easy to work. The other rigs I'm building will be getting the same treatment along with my current rigs. So for now this xr10 will be put on hold until I can get some 7075 here, until then I'll try to focus on the other two rigs I'm building along with some electronic overhaul on my current rigs [emoji16]https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/201...94ad12cbdf.jpg
