| quick release body mount
i like the body and i like that it swings up for acces, but when working on the truck it pisses me off... i get tired of removing the 2 long screws in the rear. i am wondering if anyone has come up with an idea for a quick removal of the body ? thanks, Anthony |

2 long screws? I remove 2 screws that have about 4-5 turns to each that are like 1/4 inch long.

Two short screws on the bottom of the mounts is all I remove, 5 seconds tops to get the body off.

i have found the transmitter can stand up on the rear of the motor and hold the body(hood) open. I've done slot of work and have yet pulled the body off.

i did try the 2 screws from the rear, and its a bad angle, feels like it will strip the screws head. also have to force/bend the mount to get it over the ''pivot'' im still trying to find a quick release mount with body clips. |

I find the same issue but you can stand the body pretty much vertical by unloading the rear suspension and when you let go the body will stand straight up. I am not sure if you need more access than that. The two screws are in a weird angle. |

You can replace the head screw on the rear axle with a longer screw and spacers so that when the body is in the locked position with suspension unloaded it can't get knocked out of place which it currently always does. I just use a small velcro strap that I just wrap around the very end of the body cage and strap it to the rear axle, it doesn't budge and doesn't take any time.
