| Losi LST XXL shocks?
OK...I do not like these shocks...No bleeder screw and no bladder. And the O ring seal in the cap is very squishy........ falls inside the shock body on high jumps, or crashes...or abuse situations. I am sure it's just me because I'm not used to these emulsion(I think that's what these are) style shocks I guess.... :/ Losi LST shocks are just shy of 6.5" long if I remember right. Been a few since I've had an aftershock...LST. Anyone try them yet? They may be fatter. The new XXL LST2 petrol version shocks are red also!! This kit is pretty stout so far. But I did manage to do some pretty good damage last night. Killed the passengers side front axle and drive cup. I ordered spare parts when I ordered the truck so I am good. |

Yes they should work, one guy on URC had put them on and they looked like they were the original shocks if anything. Last I saw on Amazon they were $40-50 for all 4.

Another option, for a much higher quality shock, and more dough would be to go with Mugen mbx7T rear shocks. http://www.mugenseiki.com/images/mbx7t/mbx7t_18.jpg http://www.mugenseiki.com/images/mbx...x7t-eco_07.jpg Last edited by fatroofus; 12-21-2014 at 06:30 PM. |

I was thinking about them too, I had a brushless xxl and ran the progressive Raven springs, that thing would land like a cat.

Nice idea, I have a set on the old savage flux XL, thought it would be a nice upgrade for this but just trying to keep upgrades to a minimum.

What about these? Do you think the lower pivot ball would fit?.... |

I've tried both Losi 5ive-T and DBXL stock shocks and they don't fit!! so my guess is this big bore probably won't either! I test ran with the XXL2 shock last week and it worked really well, but sorry no video yet, still working on the wheel hub conversion to fit the 1/5 scale wheels better! |

Those shocks look way too big, 1/5 scale most likely will not fit. I just broke a shock shaft yesterday though, I guess all my bashing finally caught up to it and in my attempt it run it over a brick pile for a suspension test, I noticed the spring literally fell right off the shock and the arm was sagging. I looked for beefier shafts but it looks like the only option is the 3mm shafts for now, they claim they're TiNi but I think 4mm would be great. |

The Innovative shocks are LST sized and for a savage, just with a 8mm shock shaft. Agreed they are probably a little overkill. The lower pivot ball is 10mm wide so some mods would definitely be required to fit them correctly but where there's a will there's a way! Maybe some of those guys with the super cool mills and cnc machines can offer the option to widen the lower trailing arm shock mount locations. |

Huh...ask a Q here and get fast great responses with pictures. Nice place. Are the LST springs too stiff in the back of the Axial? And I thought the shafts were thicker in my mind...but they are not obviously. I must be getting old. Quote:

Are any modifications needed to run the XXL 2 shocks on the front of the Yeti XL? I just got a roller last week, and it was missing the front shocks and a few other odds and ends. I had most of the parts to rebuild it, but I still need front shocks.

I think it just needs a spacer to help clear the shock caps and shock tower. You can see the picture above mounted up with a spacer.
