| Re: Yeti XL Aftermarket Thread Not yet.. I've had it set up for pit videos.. It destroys tires if you give it too much throttle... When it's traveling around 50 to 60 and I give it three-quarters throttle it acts like it hits a jump just takes off into the air no Wheeling it just flies off into its own dimension.... causes severe hand trembling !!! Here's a mild 6s run with a 12 tooth Pinion ! Professional drone footage coming soon https://www.instagram.com/p/BT7gx4QA1lG/ This is a taste of the quality videos to come.. Plus aerial 4K Drone footage https://youtu.be/6yheutJMDdQ Last edited by BarHarborBasher; 05-15-2017 at 05:33 PM. |

Yup, two separate instances I tried contacting them and they never replied. From doing research here on RCC threads that seemed to be the norm, so I never tried again. Kudos to you if you got their ear.

Seems to be normal for them going back many years. HR has several good parts, and seems receptive to making new aftermarket stuff, but after that you're basically shooting in the dark when it comes to getting any questions answered.

Edit: 2 year Bump Put Vanquish down bottom and noted their axle as being discontinued. Haven't been super up to date whether any newer parts have been released/cut, but it looks like there are still plenty of stock parts available in this day. I still bust the XL out once in a while, anyone else still alive out here? |

I had mine out the other day. The wife, kids and I go for nature walks and often we bring an rc or two with us. We were headed to a new place and for some reason I was compelled to bring the ole' Xl. Boy was I happy that I did, there were long straights on a wooded path were I could really let the Mamba and 1515 rip and sections of large roots and awesome inclines. The icing on the cake was when we turned a corner and there was a wall to jump off into a nice sandy area for some good roosting. It's been a long enjoyable ownership with my Yeti Xl and to this day it still reels me right back into what I love most about RCing, good old fashion fun out side with the family adventuring. I might add to that I haven't broken any parts on this machine since doing the BHB mod some 3-4 years ago.

I actually prefer the HR housing as it has the axle ends and truss included, and just didn't find an easy way to add alloy axle ends to Vanquish housing. VP housing would be perfect if it had it's own axle ends included. I've been using that HR housing in my 2 heavily modified (and heavy) XL's for quite some time with zero problems. And as for the HD gears fit, your BHB mod is needed, but after that runs super smooth. | |
