Replacement ESC doesn't have cap installed

As the title states I received a replacement ESC from Axial aka Hobby Services and it does not include the capacitor that the stock ESC had. Does anyone see a problem with installing and running the ESC without the cap? I'll put in a mail to Axial and see what they have to say, I'll let you guys know. Any input welcome.

i could be wrong, but id say its more of a glitch buster type thing, and there was problems with esc glitching, but the new firmware on the esc says it got rid of some glitches etc...
not sure, just guessing at this stage

On my third run the esc broked and thanks for Axial they sent me a replacement esc,yes it hasn't a capacitor between two wires,I'm gonna use that esc for my Team associated Sc8e because it's not enough for heavy vehicles such as Yeti XL.I use mamba monster esc in my Yeti XL now.

Re: Replacement ESC doesn't have cap installed

The large capacitor on the outside was just something on the earlier versions of the ESC. Castle was able to spec some higher grade components inside the case as well as firmware updates so the later versions of the ESC did not need the larger capacitor outside.
