Re: motor and esc for a xl kit

The Vanguard 2200kv set up with the RTR is good however if I had to choose I'd run the CC MM2 due to the adjustable BEC with the 1515 2200kv motor which is the same as the RTR just a better ESC IMO."thumbsup"

Depends if you want to run 4S or 6S as well I'd say. If you run 6S you could probably get away with a lower Kv motor around the 2000 range, on 4S the 2200 seems ok and could be geared higher since temps aren't an issue.

Gen 2 RX8 and your flavor of Tekin t8. I also bash around with castle neu motors and turnigy. They are great, never had problems except bearings but it's tough to beat the t8 motors. Amazing control honestly.

The MMM2 is a good esc but my tekin combos smoke em in my race truggies. Pure quality!!!

Don't understand why they would. There are already lots of options available.

I doubt it the XO-1 motor will fit it's a castle 1717 so the can diameter will be to big to snuggle up with the trans. Unless someone makes a different motor/trans mount so you can mount a bigger motor. I don't think the drive line could handle that power either it would become a vicious cycle of either upgrading/replacing parts. Just my $.02"thumbsup"
