Default Added Weights vs. Spare Tire Back End

This is more for the RTR folks probably. I think the look of the XL with spare tire is totally different than without but the handling must be affected by the added ~12 oz. of the spare on the back. So I added some weights instead of the spare. I have 8 oz. added now, and that plus firm swaybar has totally changed the handling characteristics of the truck. It spends a lot more time with tires on the ground, and a lot less time rolled over onto its roof.

I've always preferred a spare on the back. Not so much for performance, just didn't care for the stock plastics and liked the look of the spare. Of course I tuned my suspension around having the extra weight on the back and am not running the stock shocks either.

yep, mentioned that in my build thread notes as well.. completely changes truck handling and character. Firmed up rear springs and went with 15wt oil, loving it so far.

I went with the axial set. It comes with all needed hardware plus soft medium and firm bars. I'm using and like the firm bar for now.
