rear diff gears after abut 50+ packs my buggy destroyed the rear diff gears.... it had a shim installed and it lunched the diff gears when i replaced the gears i added 2 shims just to be sure, smashed the gears on the first pack tho did i do something wrong? is my housing most likely shagged? anyone running Vanquish alloy rear diff housing? so it was pinion, 2 shims, first bearing, plastic spacer, second bearing, then circlip |
Re: rear diff gears My opinion is That plastic spacer is done. |
Re: rear diff gears when i was putting it back together, i remembered that people ditched the plastic spacer and just fitted another bearing i was fitting fast eddy bearings when i was doing it, and another pinion bearing wasn't going to be thick enough on its own might have to research and find the exact size bearing i need to replace the spacer |
Re: rear diff gears Use the Dhawk aluminum spacer on eBay. Works great! |
Re: rear diff gears Ya..I ment to type that but .....that Dhawk spacer is a great little mod. |
Re: rear diff gears I see the Dhawk spacer comes with shims, does it need them? |
