Default motor kv help

Im looking to get one of the following motors...

team orion vst2 pro 1900 ... 89 shipped like new
turnigy trackstar 2100 ... 66 shipped new... from hong kong
turnigy trackstar 2400 ... 60 shipped new ... from USA

I know that the KV number is the rpm per volt. What i dont know is how that affects performance. I know more rpm means more speed, but at the cost of low end torque? could a low 1900 kv motor be geared higher and pull the load with its more abundant torque. kind of like a big block engine, or am i way off base?

I really want to get a motor chosen and ordered tonight. my kit is about 50% comlete now. I will be running a viper vtx8 sensored esc, expert 7701 servo, and a dx3r/sr3100.

thanks
shaun

I used a Tekin 2000 and it had PLENTY of power on 4s so, I know the 1900 will be fine.

Check the voltage range on whatever motor you purchase, not all are rated up to 6s.

The 2100 is rated for 4s, the 2400 looks like a 1/10 scale motor and I personally wouldn't use a 2400 kv motor as it would pull too much current in the Yeti XL.

I personally would take the Orion over a Trackstar ANYDAY! I know the Orion you have listed will do up to 6s so you're covered by voltage, performance and customer service...my pick.

I missed out on the orion motor. There is another one for 100 new in the box.
