I have a rtr, stock springs and 47.5 front and rear. Rides good, just seems kinda stiff and bouncy.

Ended up with hpi Baja yellow top springs on the front and 45wt and put the old top springs from the front on the back and putting 45wt in. Raised the ride height a little but stopped the back kicking up when jumping. Works great on grass but not tried it on loose gravel or sand yet. Might have to put the softer springs back in but it sits very low with those.

Mind, so your right naming stacked springs, or singles?

I put the front RTR springs on the front and the rear. Front shocks have 55w oil, that I think I will change to 35 or 45 this weekend. The rears are perfect, but the front seems soft and mushy (it's a YXL...).

I have an extra set of shocks and have been thinking about throwing 2 sets on the rear just to test it out. I have read that one set should be run with slightly thicker oil and no springs. I don't know what effect it will have, but it could be fun to mess around with. Like I said though, the combo I have on the rear now has been perfect.... so I need to screw it up.
