Both my HR shafts failed the first time out. I think the front and rear joints might be a little weak for this massive truck JMO.

I bought the HR one for the front because it was a super good deal. I haven't ran it because i am not done with my conversion but i don't like the look of it or how it goes together. With load and above 3000rpm i can see this thing flying apart.

I bought the DHawk for the rear of my conversion and that thing is like a MIP shaft. No way you are breaking that thing if you get it. I have never broke a MIP and suspect the DHawk will be the same. They are stupid cheap for what you get.

You don't need one for the front. Better drive axles maybe, but no need for a center DS.

Sorry. Kinda left out some details. I am making a Wraith XL that has the back axle in the front so a Rear DS was needed for the "Front".

I've had the HR driveshaft for a while now (on 6S), and had an issue with the threaded pin retainer cups at each end loosening while driving and letting the pin fall out. I was able to grind down a pin from another application to fit (drill bits might work too). Other users experienced the same issue. I fixed mine by using threadlocker on the both pin retainer cups (somebody else used heat shrink). Now I inspect it regularly as well. the threadlocker makes it difficult to remove the cups, so don't use the strong stuff if you go this route. I also found that the plastic washer/dirt shield that closes the end of each cup was wearing out, and I replaced them with metal flat washers that I drilled out the inner diameter to fit the axle shaft. Aside from the pin retaining design, the driveshaft itself seems robust.

PS: I've noticed that GPM uses a similar driveshaft design for other models as well, so you may be able to find a range of lengths from them if you need something different for your custom build.
