I've took a spare set of stock arms cut off the lower support and flipped and installed them...no test run yet I've got to file the cup housing in the brace plate for full articulation crazy clearance ! for crawler mode

[IMG][/IMG]

after I hone out the back cup and do the other side I think it will add a 1'1/4 " serious difference !!
only interference looks to be the center steering link..at full compression.. turned full-lock to the left..

oo and notice the shock height of the driver a-arm ... compressed...carrying the unsprung weight of the stock setup... I'm on the verge of buying a extra tub and make a full independent hi clearance YETI XL

I wish you luck on your endeavors. I really wish the Yeti had the clearance that the Twin Hammers does on its front arms.

My rpm arms came today and they don't have the lower brace that I cut off on my stockers ... the angle deflection on the RPM arms isn't as much as the stockers so I think that might be the best medium... looks like at the most I might have to make taller bump stops... but I intend this setup for sensored crawling

I looked into this last year, if I remember right the cv's need to be longer, and the dog bone end bottomed out in diff cup, also have to watch out for the shaft hitting the inside edge of the drive cup, I am very interested in this mod, so I will be watching this close. : )

Edit::
Forgot to mention I also looked into mounting D8T arms, they would need some heavy dremeling but could be made to work... so I thought until I noticed the slight angle where the arm mounts to chassis but these rpm arms look to be the cats meow for this mod.

The stock xl shock tower is 7mm but those savage arms are 5mm, someone makes a cf shock tower that is 5mm that they work with. Fordfreak95 has that setup on his xl.

It mounts up with about 1mm of play, how ever it is longer than the stock upper arm and their could be clearance issue with the shock.

the stock rtr arm is about 103mm eye to eye

these look like they could be adjusted shorter or longer

I used adjustable Savage upper. I was working on a Savage XL build and swapping on FlexTek arms and the Savage arms looked like they would fit. They did...but they have to be modded. The link needs to be shortened and the rod end does also. I forget by how much. You can see in the pics...

Hey BHB maybe next time you have the front tore down you can make us a vid showing more clear what you did to mount everything up, like put the camera on a tripod and not wave it around like a magic wand then hold the parts up to the cam till it focuses, I would like to see what exactly you did to to the drive cups, and what you shaved down to other parts, and if you used the stock cv's or went with some longer ones... peace.
