Front shock upper bushing replacement? I was jumping my yeti XL off some snow banks earlier today, when I noticed that my front end was riding awfully low. Both of my shocks popped off the upper mounting bolt. The shock caps pulled through the plastic bushings that they mount to. It appears that the flange on the bushing just broke off. Has anyone seen any metal replacements for these or know of any others that will fit. I did see on eBay that the hot racing shock caps/ reservoirs include them, but I don't really want to spend $50 on a pair of them. The axial part number is ax31031. |
Re: Front shock upper bushing replacement? Can you use a washer under the screw head to hold the pivot ball in there? |
Re: Front shock upper bushing replacement? I used a large oring that when cut could be forced into that shock cap opening. I would then trim oring to the width of the cap. Then drill a hole thru the center of the oring. Put washers on both sides then reattach. Last time I ever had problems in the cold. |
