Bomber XL Hey guys ... I've taken a minute to figure out a EASY straight axle conversion... Here it is only requiring ONE 10$ item and about 3 hrs of time......But you're gonna have to subscribe to my youtube channel for a full breakdown build series... This is a mock up that I personally think would work for full function...The purpose of this mock up was for geometry references for a hand made aluminum one that incorporates the Vanquish housingS for 4WS :twisted:. . "thumbsup" soon to come.. Re: Bomber XL Well after 8 hrs of wrenching and 20 hrs of scratching I came up with a (STOCK) setup other than the 10$ MIP CVD's...And in person its quit impressive ! 32" long y 21" 3/8" wide... What ever... I can build a better Axial than they can lol |

That's an awesome build, man. Well done. <br />For motor choice, I would go with the sensored motor since this is more of a rock crawler. The side rails serve three purposes. 1- provide a mounting surface for the debris screen. 2- lateral reinforcement for the bearing locations e.i shock truss cage. 3- plate /support the battery compartments layers. I know that I intended on using a frame supported 1/5 servo but in testing I wanted to eliminate compounding issues wile I'm testing/adjusting cast/camber/clock.. I through this thing together ..I utilized the mounting location for the truss support as well as used a diff cover thread. It's supper strong..I'm going to dimple die to lighting things up..
